Hayley- I'm confused, if you're seeing Dr Lingham on 15th for a follie scan shouldn't he be able to give you a script for the Ovidrel shot and be able to advise you of exactly when to take it?

Just be careful trying to choose when to administer it yourself, you don't want to miss time it and induce O too early, you might not have a good quality egg and it could just result in a MC. Maybe you're better to actually see what Dr says on 15th.

I'm sure Dr H has his reasons for not faxing the script, probably because he would like to check you over first and see if the Ovidrel shot is worthwhile this month and when to do it.

Oooohhh I have an answer on the clotty periods! I have exactly the same problem and when I mentioned it to Dr P yesterday he explained during my biology lesson what the cause could be lol. Ok he says when one of the hormones - either the LH, FSH, I think Estrogen and something else could be out of sync in your brain, then what happens is the process that suppose to take place where the eggie goes into follicle and matures etc, doesn't take place due to this. Then what happens is your endometrium actually thickens too much due to the hormone imbalance and when it sheds you'll get clots and it's also quite painful as your uterus has to contract harder to get rid of the thick lining.

Esmari - so sorry about your dog. It is a Rhodesian Ridgeback - we also had one when we stayed on a plot when I was smaller - they are wonderful dogs!

AFM: Nothing much to report, just went for the bloods this morning and it cost me R1120.00. Flippen expensive but hopefully worth it! So now it's just waiting to phone Dr P on Friday and then we'll know what's what and what POA is. I doubt we'll be doing any more IUI's or other treatments this year as the lab at Genesis closes 15 Dec, so we'll probably get cracking on it beginning next year. Gives me time to finally shed these last few kilos I want to shed! Haven't been to gym now in about a month again so tonight it's gym time for me. Time for a change ladies, I'm too comfortable in my little comfort zone!

Nothing to report on my side. Having a really bad AF this month. No idea why. Still cramping today and (TMI alert) when I wipe I get find clots on the toilet paper. Dh told me last night I probably wont be able to convince the hospital staff to give me an epi for period paid so Comprals are my new best friend since yesterday

Ja Karatemum, life can be a pain in the but. Its just that this year really started bad! I mean, I had my mc on the very first day of the year! Feels like it just doesnt stop!

Klk, I am not sure when af really due. My 2 previous cycles were 28 and 27 days, but before that 2 31d cycles. So I say I can expect it anyday from sunday. I have my birthday next week wednesday......
