When does dicipline start?

With Em I started after 1 year old. She thankfully didnt need much, but I think before that it is not naughtyness and they are too young to understand. If baby is stratching you maybe just take her hands away and say "please dont that hurts mommy" or something like that?

Good question! Hopefully some of the more experienced Moms can shed some light on this for us.

I wonder if I've just got lucky with a gentle child? I'd never really thought about what it would be like to have an aggressive child.

I do like your style of parenting but I'm wondering how you handle an aggresive child? Or if my child were to hit or bite? I mean I cant remove his hands or teeth. I've been reading lots of blogs on gentle parenting and I just wonder if it doesnt all just lead to 'sitting out' the toddler years.

Memo my LO is 10 months and I don't do any discipline with her. She's still too small. I just remove her from situations that I don't want her to be in and use preventative measures i.e. removing cat's bowls so she can't play with them.

I'm afraid that I don't have any advice other than for you to keep his nails really short so that it doesn't hurt. Sorry I just can't think what else?!?
