How are you. I just read ur updated profile and i praise you,you are a miracle parents to a miracle child. Hows Lior doing today? and the girls how are they keeping up? When is Lior turning one? Or did I miss it. Was it in march?

We are well thanks and you - Lior is doing well, not on as many pain meds anymore - only really night time that he battles (benents colic micture and ponstan together do wonders), otherwise during the day he is fine. We still have the g-tube in the tummy, the surgeon will only put the mickey in once the wound has started healing properly and once the swelling is completely down. He doesnt want to put it on and there is still swelling, then just to have the thing not fit properly. I must say the g-tube is a pain in the ass - although the feeding times are a lot quicker, but we just have to perservere for a week or two. The thing with the g-tube is it goes down so quickly that he has developed "dumping syndrome", so not even two minutes after you feed him he poops it all out. So now we give half a feed and wait for 10/20 minutes and then give him the rest and it seems to have resolved the issue. His stomach is not used to a large amount at one time, so we will gradually increase it as we go. Still not really getting much sleep so just plodding along at the moment.

I am glad Blake is doing better - it really breakas your heart when they are not well. Although we could take a lesson out of their books cause even when they are sick they are cheerful.

Blake is much better? only last night did he have a temp of 34.4. but this morning he is just fine again!

Jip the hole has closed - we were so surprised. The thing is we would never have known if the cardiologist had not immigrated. We could not find a copy of the previous sonar report so had to do a new one for the op. Definately a miracle !!!

I think we are in for a long rough few weeks until the wound heals properly. Warren took baby to the surgeon today for a check up and he is happy with everything and if it has healed more without any leakage in a weeks time we can put in the mickey. It is really strange though, I mean we have gone from nearly two hours a feed to literally minutes

Shame, little pumpkin, and even when they feel crappy they still smile. This flu is terrible, the first week Lior was in hospital was for a cough that turned to bronchial pnuemonia over night -scary how quickly it turns.

Thanks so much for the offer, the only thing we are in need of know is some sleep - bit getting any of that at the moment. Only got Lior down at half four this morning and then up by 6 to get ready for work - it was a little more difficult this morning

What a miracle!

Shame the poor lil fighter, he will be just fine! He can only benefit from the op!
Suppose he has a long recovery forward? but he is one lil tough lil man and will pull threw just fine!

You and your husband are truly amazing!

Blake is well, still not interested in walking but im in no rush!
He has a lil bit of flu at the mo, took him to the doc yesterday.

Other to that all is good.

When I went for the downs blood tests at 16 weeks they phoned to say there was a 10% chance and that I should have an amnio. We went to the specialist but not with the intention of having the amnio. he did notice that the hands were slightly bent but not clenched and that the umbilical cord only had two "veins" which is a sign of trisomy. He also told us that 5% of normal babies also only have the two veins. So in the end I needed to know, even though I knew I would never abort, and did the amnio I think just to get peace of mind and prepare if anything.
