Wow! who are these people? (if you can even call them that) When i hear this sort of thing I WISH I could be a nicu nurse... I cant ever imagine leaving a baby to just cry and be so numb that I dont notice that something is very wrong!

You know what is annoying is the fact that in private hospitals you pay so much flipping money that you would think that you would get decent care.

I usually get good care, but weekend staff are contracted out and flipping rude to say the least.

We need to become our own advocates. On monday I asked about every injection etc.

OMG, I'm sitting here tearyeyed this is really traumatic. I just hope they've given that poor baby necessary medical treatment for that leg.

I'm truly saddened, I just hope they've learnt their lesson and take better care of those babies.

I think its more nurses than you think, they dont care about the people aspect. My uncle landed in hosital 4 months ago after falling off his roof with a broken foot, the nurses gave him too much morphine and left him unattended and he ckocked and stopped breathing, for how long we dont know. He was in ICU for over 3.5 months and has brain damage, we have moved him to a rehab centre now and trying slowly to get him back to normal , he has to relearn how to walk, eat , talk, everything, he will probably never be the same

its going to be a long road, but we are trying to sue the hosiptal the lawyers think there is a good case and say this neglect happens every where

My uncle was in a private hospital.

The lawyer said he tells all his friends, if you go to hospital, hire a reputable private nurse to sit by your bed and monitor the hospital nurses.

Ridiculous !!! I think more people need to report these incidents, so that the hospitals have to do something about it, if people keep quite about mistreatment it will never get better

And sadly the poor parents can't be with their kids for various reasons and you think that your child would be safe in a hospital.

There is actually alot we can do.
