Wow!! We really need to go back to the personal boundary idea.

Where within 50cm to 1 metre to you personally (or your baby) is only reserved for those you have an intimate connection to or your doctor.

I really have no problem using my leg or body to block someone's movement to me or my child.

I am okay with being rude, I realised that I have enough friends on Facebook I actually don't need more at the Pick 'n Pay!

I have a letter from my pdoc to say I am insane, so tread lightly with me, some days I can be a total bitch. I'm lying. Most days I am a total bitch.

I abhor smiley face icons. Just saying.

How do you really tell someone in a nice but firm way :" get the hell away from my baby ?" :P Ok, well not those words exactly !

In our blok of flats there is this one REALLY irritating highschool girl that will come and take LO out om my arms. Go and sit with her and play and then kiss her on the MOUTH !!!

The trouble is that her mother and I are friends so me being very firm will I suppose have some effect on our friendship. But then - Get the hell away from my baby. I hate it hate it hate it when someone just takes her. I am her mother and I decide who takes her and who doesn't

Sjoe - sommer get all angry all over again.

I always wrap my baby up in blankets when people want to carry him so they don't really touch his body but one thing that irritated me the most was when my DH's sister saw me putting my finger in baby's mouth when he was 2 days old because i didn't know his cry when he was hungry and now she does that! I get so mad but haven't said anything yet. The next time i will definetly tell her not to do that coz it makes me so angry.

I agree !!!

When leaving the Netcare where I gave birth to my little girl, they get someone to carry the baby out to your car. That is all fine and well, however, they could not get a nurse and ended asking one of the cleaning ladies to do so. She held my baby and walked out of the hospital with me. At the car she stopped and planted the biggest kiss on my 2 day old babies mouth!!!

I was so taken aback, I just grabbed the baby and got in the car! I am not saying I did not like the fact that it was not a nurse, it could have been a DOCTOR and I would have been shocked

So yes, I agree - talk to them, compliment them ... but keep your paws off my baby!

I am a photographer and do hold and handle a lot of babies - but always with the mothers permission ;)

I don't really mind but the last sunday at church hubby was holding baby and this stupid man came and said "Oooo can I hold her ?" Hubby didn't really know what to do and yes ok. WELL - when I saw that I went over to the man, smiled and said to baby - "say goodbuy to the oomie" and just grabbed her our of his hands !!!!!! This stupid old man got my hair to stand up there behind your neck - that voice - Oooo told my hubby very nicely NEVER to do that again. I know we are at church BUT there are "froetel oomies" everywhere !!!
