Opinions about EC'ing

sjoe ladies i just dont have the time, my life is hectic.

yes i have a routine but have other kids that need my attention so i rather stick to the disposable nappy.

I also watch my kids and know them very well and I know when they want to poo but I just lack the energy to jump every time he wants to poo.

its too much for me.

I was just thinking. We don't buy nappies very often, well once a month maybe. My MIL does, this is like her contribution or whatever, she has always wanted to and it is her thing. So it doesn't really affect our pockets at all. Maybe if it did I would be more willing? Mmmmm.... Probably not.

Brandon's clinic sister told us about it when we first took him, but to be perfectly honest I am far too much of a "lazy mom" to try it.

But I have the greatest respect for those mothers who are able to do it and have the patience to learn the signs

I think poos are easier and it was very easy with B since she poo'd once a day at the same time every day since about 3 weeks of age. With pee I used timing, I put her on the potty every 30min or so. Sometimes her nappy (cloth much easier) was still dry other times I had just missed it. But after a while she liked the idea of going in the potty more than using her nappy so her signs became clearer

I dunno. I watch Troy VERY closely in the bath as we that is a good time for us to play and goo and gaa and chat and when he wees he shows no signs of it.

And I would def have issues about cleaning boobie poos. Troy used to poop like 10 times a day!

Wow Barbara, thanks for that! I though I was the only 'weird' person on the block.

I actually thought about buying that new product to test but the potty works just as well.

I have stopped with B since it is cold and like you said, layers don't work very well with it. But am hoping to start again once the weather warms up a bit.
