So it seems loads of mommies out there are ready to blast others away with their opinions. Here's a topic that always brings with it a heated debate.
EC'ing - Elimination Communication (also called Natural Infant Hygiene)
What is it: using timing, signals and cues from your baby to effectively get them to eliminate (pee or poo) outside of a diaper, be it in a toilet or a potty. There is no reward or punishment for a hit or miss. It isn't the same as potty training as no person in their right mind would expect a 5 month old to crawl to the toilet to relieve themselves.
A new product was voted most green product and a certificate of excellence at the recent baba indaba.
It's called Baby Throne, a tool for EC'ing from 4 months.

Do you have an opinion about this? Better yet, have you actually tried EC'ing?
