Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

Thats awesome Kid2mamma. I got my biowash ball at the home and garden show and am using it for the first time now My laundry smells like vinegar from running the machine with itlast night:) I have my nappies stockpiled, but I think I'll need more waterproofs:)

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while. Lots has been happening. Siwe you have to understand that the MN or any Bamboo or Hemp fabric becomes more absorbant each time you wash them Both the Mother Nature and Bam+Boo nappies are made out of Bamboo fabric. They only reach there best absorbancy after 10 washes. I see you used the nappy the night you got it which would indicate you hadn't even washed it once yet. you cannot expect it to last the whole night if you used it immediately. The more you use and wash it the more it will work better. I use the MN nappies and The Bam+Boo nappies on my Son. He is 17 months old and both hold him through the night. The Bam+Boo I put an extra soaker pad into it and with the Mothernature I put 2 booster Pads, a MN waterproof and a Night fleece and he is dry in the mornings. The nappies are soaking though and that is too be expected.

have to share this!! i went to a fabric shop today to buy some toweling. when i got there, they had this huge pile of toweling off-cuts. and a very thick towel!! i went mad and searched for good bits and walked out of there with a black bag full of material for R100!! i'm sure i can make 50+ nappies for R100. how cool is that!!

Your LB is propably producing a lot of whee at his age... So I would suggest using at least one booster pad at night.

I am not fammiliar with the MN nappies, the ones I make myself works like a charm. My LB used to wake up wet even with huggies gold. Now we have no more wet clothes in the morning.

So for me, cloth is better!!!

i think you buy the booster pads in a pack of 2 or more. so you have to try them out. how old is your LO?
