Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

your probably right hey. i wonder how long they will take to dry? but it would be easier to just use the one nappy and not struggle with inserts and stuff.

just another question. this pattern you have to put velcro or clasps on the nappy but with bambino mio you just fold the nappy in three and put it into the proof. So if there is verclo on the nappy and on the proof, isnt it going to become very thick around the waist?

2kidmamma, im not so crazy about the bumbeetles, they are so pretty and you can use them for a long time but the proof, nappy and inside strip is in one. so you have to buy one nappy and after every use throw it in a washing bin, its not like stegi that you can reuse the proof and just change the inside. its going to work out lot more per nappy isnt it?

essentially Gerne, it should work you out the same if not cheaper because should your steggi proof get wet or too dirty you have to use a new one don't you? With the bumbeetles it's AIO and so each nappy costs just one price, no extra for any extra proofs you must use during the day. I have Mother nature nappies which require proofs and I am finding that with every second nappy change I need a new proof.

I use the Mother Nature (Bamboo) and will get the Bum Beetles. HeleneS is using the bam+Boo baby nappies. She hasn't been on here in a day or so so I am not sure how she is finding them. She was complaing that they took long to dry.

I have done them with a fleece outer unlike the one I have in the picture which is Cotton with Terry cloth inner layer and booster pad. i also edged the final product with a Zig Zag stiching.

Maybe if i get the real thing I'll be inspired to make my own. Maybe i just don't get it. Otherwise it does look easy to make. I bought it. And it turned out to be a total flap. Not stable on the chair and it uses elastic to hold on to the chair. Now i saw safe-way chair covers. That's easy i think. I'll get a sample nappy, try it, and copy it to see how they compare.

By Making things ourselves we can make them just how we want them and to our standards and not what other people percieve we want them.
