Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

Gwen E, mildew can be dangerous. I suggest you strip wash the nappies with very hot water and bicarb and tee tree oil, then rinse with vinigar. And you could iron them when they are dry to kill futher live cultures. I don't know if it will work, but its worth a try.

Some tea tree oil in the bucket could help protect form further problems, I rinse my bucket with very hot water and tee tree oil every time I wash nappies.

Did your baby perhaps have a thrush infection, little red dots on her bum or diaree that could have caused a fungus in the nappies? If my LG has spots on her bum, I rinse nappies in very hot water and wring out before putting them into the bucket.

Please help!! I think my nappies have mildew. I wash every second day and dry bucket my nappies. These past two washes I have found that one or two nappies at the bottom of the bucket to be dark with what could be mildew. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Are these nappies salvageable (BM). Maybe they didn't dry properly in this cold weather? or they are taking too long?

I bought Probac from local PnP Hypermarket. Sure Checkers will stock it too. It's among the other brands of cleaners/laundry spotters. ProBac makes bathroom cleaner, carpet cleaner and other cleaners too.

I find the MN liners, because they so nice and thick, they "conduct" (help me here with the correct word please!) the moisture to the outside. The Cherubs doesn't do that because its thinner. I do however prefer the thicker liner because there's less chance of poop "footprints" on the nappy

Now that my son doesn't have those soft poops anymore the Cherubs works fine though. But with the breastfeeding poops MN liners did the trick!

Thanks Amanda! I aways tuck the liners into her legs (cherub tree ones) and poo always goes on the side in the elastic! I have not tried just water! Where do you get probac stain remover?
I'll give the just water thing a try today though, lets see if madam does a number 2! Ha ha
