Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

Amanda I don't buy softener, never use it with any washing. My sister in law is in fashion, she's attended a few courses on fabrics etc and says it's always mentioned that softener damages your clothes. So we stopped using it a few years ago and I can't tell a difference with my clothes. Except for that softener smell of course!

Amanda, softner affects the absorbency of any material, so ja, should not be used on ANY nappies.

Should softener not be used on ALL cloth nappies - including terry squares / spoegdoeke? Or does softener only affect absorbency of the new type of cloth nappies due to different material being used?

I'm still not lucky with night time cloth so I am now going to try terry squares and the good old waterproofs...

Just want to check Anina, I see you said in the post above that you would be ordering MN potty training pants but I see from your order that you took the Earthbabies Single Soakers instead. If you still want to change your order you are most welcome to.

2KM - the Econobum nappies, can you use a different insert (Stegi or BM) in them or only the Econobum ones? I like that the cover is adjustable, and is cheaper than the BM ones so if hey could take the BM nappies then I would just buy those rather and use over all my different brand inserts!

Sarah, the answer is YES, you can most definately use the cover of the Econobums on your other Prefold nappies like BM and even the shaped Stegi's. I have used them succesfully even with Terry nappies. It's a great great cover.
