Help- I'm officially a cloth nappy user!!

@ kid2mamma, its an awesome site, started placing an order but then ouldnt be bothered to sort out payment (its too late) so will do it this weekend. I'm really liking the look of the Duki nappies:)

(I like sewing, and started sewing my own nappies before I realised it was too much like hard work, I'd much rather sew for enjoyment and buy the things I need)

What size should I make newborn sized cloth nappies? I measured a Pampers and a Huggies newborn nappy and made a pattern, then changed it slightly so it was more like the Bambino Mio style nappies (I like them for some reason lol!). Then measured against the BM nappies I have for 5kg+ and they are just a fraction smaller. Do you think it will work?

Any ideas?

I have 2 one-size-fits-all nappies as well, but hubby says they are too cute and must only be used when we can show off her bum in public lol!!!

Helene, this is what i thought of doing:

Getting 2 xsmall proofs, they will keep at least 3 months (im working on Henko's weight). he was 5kg's at 3months. I though i will just rinse the proof after every 3 or 4 nappies. and if its a pooh i have another one.
then i will get 4 of each bigger size. Or maybe i will still get 2 small and then 4 Medium. They pick up weight so fast in the beginning and then stand still at around 10kgs.

Its difficult, but i think it depends on yourself, what you can afford and how 'easy' you want to make life for yourself
