Well ladies I've started weaning, its been about two weeks so far and going great!

So far the peach is her fav, she can eat a entire one! Only problem we are having is by
The ened of a meal everything is covered in drool so she finds it hard to hold onto somethings.
She loves toast, and the few puritys I did have in the cubbard has been used as a healthy spread on her toast.
She can also handle a sppon remarkable well for six months, but shouts evertime I take it away to preload.
Gaging has not been to bad, except when she tries to shove somthing else in her mouth when there is already a piece.
Oh and we had a incident with baked butternut...she squished it in her eye! LOL

She is enjoying it, and having fun with her food, I think I'm the only one who gets worried when she bites of huge pieces, but so far she has prooved she can manage!
Also nappies have been colourful, just loving the specs of orange and green in them....carrot and baby marrow! LOL

Hey all! After a great start, James seemed to loose interest last week and didnt put a single thing in his mouth:) This week he seems excited about it again. I would love to know what was up last week, because he was slepping terribly too, but I guess its one of those things that I will never know:)
My little man has taken after mommy and LOVES meat. He sucks ond gnaws on it with his gums for ages. He also has really liked veg sticks dipped in hummus, baba ganush on rice cakes, buternut soup, spagetti bolognaise etc... I must say I am really enjoying not mashing up things and after readin an article about Gerber (The purity company in US) I am even happier that I'm not feeding jarred foods:)

Sorry you are struggling kid2mamma, cant help, but am dreading those toddler years:(

Hi All

Have been AWOL for some time. Just really frustrated with the feeding thing in general. Now my LB refuses to eat anything atall that isn't Bread or scrambled egg. And besides refusing to let me feed him all he does is play with any of the food I give him and throw it down on the floor if I leave him with it. He hasn't attempted to take any food to his own mouth in about 2 weeks and so i don't know what to do. They say he eats his food at school and his breakfast so I know he is getting food in during the day and he still drinks atleast 2 bottle of formula and 2 bottles of Full cream milk a day. I just feel he is really lacking Fruits & veges in a big way. I am at my wits end and very very confused.

What must I do?

Jude's menu for today...
Peach for breakfast, loooves it
Sweet potato with creamed cottage cheese for lunch
Spinach with plum tomatoes, garlic and onions for din. whats the deal on portobilini mushrooms?
He likes he's veggies better if I cook it with some herbs and such.. (obviously)

Memo, I did tomato once or twice but B got a rash on her chin from it, yet she has no reaction to it if it's in spag bol.

And yes, I also agree with Claudia!
