Soooo....as a hopeful vbac mommy im sitting @ home counting the minutes until i can get the results of my blood test to know if there is a 'krummeltjie' growing inside me!

Thank you Hasie and Deja. I'm definitely hiring a Doula. I'm planning on doing everything possible to increase my VBAC chances. I have seen that some of the midwives at Genesis work with Doulas.

Kiki, congratulations on your pregnancy!! Most of the midwifes who practices at Genesis are pro VBAC and have more than a few VBACs under their belts. Best thing is to go to the open day, chat about availability and prices (they can differ a lot!!) and see who you click with.

I would also recommend the support of a doula, it just makes such a big difference that I wouldn't do it without one again! And then look at doing proper birth prep classes preparing you for a VBAC. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!!! And may you have a truly healthy and happy birth experience!!

Hello Ladies. I am looking for a pro-VBAC midwive. I contacted Genesis and they gave me three names: 1. Sue King, 2. Gail de Vos, 3. Karen van der Merwe. I have also contacted Xoli Makabane and Phindi because I read somewhere in here that thy are great midwives. Do any of you ladies have first hand experience with any of these recommends?
