I know someone who's getting induced today, seems these girls dont want to show until the last possible moment ;)

Hang in there, she's just a bit shy.... I can understand the frustration of waiting for her, can't imagine being in your shoes.

An update from me: my baby is now lying head down which is the perfect position for the natural birth. she weighs more than 1 KG at 27 weeks which seems a bit big to me. Everything is going well, nothing to worry about, Doctor said we just have to wait for her to gain more weight! The only thing that's left is to book my bed and start my antenatal classes.

Still waiting..

I'm surviving, I have moments when I'm okay and sometimes I'm an emotional mess. I'm 40 weeks and 3 days today, never thought I'd be here.
My body is struggling with the aches also, she's very low so the pressure gets bad at times, my knees are also starting to complain. But above all of that I just really really can't wait to meet her, to hold her, and she's just busy chilling in my womb :-) she better understand that her lease is over.

So ya, we are both okay, just struggling with the waiting, and really hoping Friday doesn't come. But you know what, there's another lady here, Elamsmom, she also had a stitch and ended up going overdue, think she also got induced around 41 weeks, so maybe it's common to struggle going into labour spontaneously after a cervical cerclage...even though you'd think that since the cerclage was supposedly the only thing closing you up, you'll open up as soon as it's out.... When Maasdorp took mine out the first thing he said was "your cervix is quite long still"...total contradiction since it's supposed to be incompetent. So that's my thinking now, it's taking longer to do what it should have started doing before 37 weeks if the stitch wasn't in...

It's more her who's hanging in there :P I'm waddling quite badly. Had a stretch and sweep today, having contractions since, but we'll see if they will hold or they are just cos of the irritation. Anneke I totally prefer a stretch and sweep than an acupuncture.. So ya, I have until next week Friday, 41 weeks, before I'm induced. Really really really hope she'll come on her own before that, but not stressing anymore, am just tiring myself with all the trying, she'll come when she's ready, or by the time I'm induced my cervix will be even more favourable, so ya, all I must do is just wait.

But I gotta say, midwives are soooo amazing, am so shocked at how cool Phindi is about letting me go till 41 weeks even though I'm a VBAC. Now I'm really seeing why everyone says one of the most important pregnancy decisions is your caregiver, that's what making all the difference right now...so ladies, make sure that caregiver is the right one...

Hi there,

Joeypoey, I prefer dr Swart. Go for an active birth at Femina with midwife as primary caregiver and gyni as back up. And if you can, come and do a HypnoBirthing course, it makes things way easier and gets hubby on board as well!

SMA, good luck!!! Hope things have started up again and that you will have that baby in your arms soon!
