Babyshoes, the party looked like such fun. But I'm a bit confused. Is Heinrich also yours?
Shazz, we stayed at my folks this weekend, and Emily also slept on a mattress, one side against the wall and the other side against the bed, and the bottom we blocked off - and she loved it! Went to sleep in the afternoon all on her own (after playing for a while). We just got home and she's been arsing around in her cot for about 45 mins, so we've given up and have taken her out now. I read that toddlers' appetites are erratic so you should take into account their weekly intake, not their daily intake. If she eats a lot one day and the other hardly touches food then it's normal. As for the milk, Emily does the same. Maybe they need extra comfort or nourishment on those days that they have extra bottles.
Beansmom, business sounds as though it's booming!! Can you believe what a blessing in disguise the retrenchment was? As for the daymother, it will get easier. The other day Emily wanted to go home with the nanny, and I was also in tears by the time I got back into the house. But the next day she didn't want to know her, so I felt a lot better about life then too
