Wow Des, I posted on the other thread, and now I just want to say something here too because I'm all brimming with emotions - crazy how close all this baby stuff has brought us - and because we've been through a long long road together.

What an amazing thing to happen. It may seem a bit surreal now, but tomorrow, when you see the doc, and the little person already with hands and feet and heartbeats you'll really believe it!!! Trust that everything will be fine, and it will be. Because this was meant to be.

I cannot believe that you were already preggers at Connor's birthday party. I completely missed it!!!! So that glow wasn't just that of a proud mama celebrating her little man's big day!!

Happy belated Birthday ScribblingAl - glad you enjoyed it.. hangover and all!! :woohoo: :silly: :cheer:

Yeah it has been very quiet here lately! Think everyone was on leave and those that are back are probably still getting into work mode....

I agree with you 100% things are happening very fast now with our babies..... thats if we can we still call them babies? Luke will always be my baby - but the "baby" in baby is busy growing up! Know what I mean?

Morning ladies. It's been so quiet on this thread. Did everyone enjoy the long long weekends? Monday was the first public holiday I had off since March, and it was my birthday, so we really celebrated. Dropped Emily at granny's and went out for a long, lazy boozy lunch that turned into drinks at the Radium, and a very sorry post-birthday girl yesterday. But today I'm appreciating all the flowers (house hasn't been this colourful since Emily was born) and all the messages and the love.

Congratulations on all the new milestones! It's crazy how fast things are happening now. Emily's doing so many little things now - silly little things like "hiding" things behind her back and giggling like crazy when she "reveals" them, and trying to screw off lids, and blowing all her food (even fruit) - just little quirks that show a personality developing. What an improvement from all those months ago when she just used to lie there screaming :silly:

Pinky I love your green smoothie idea. How do you feed it to her? In a cup? We finally upgraded her car seat, and bought her a little pink dressing gown with little pink slippers - and she looks like such a little girl in them (as opposed to a baby) that I get quite emotional when I look at her.

Ah well, I'm on study leave this week, so I'd better make the most of the non-hungover time that I have left. Those who are back into life post public holidays - updates please!! I feel like a housewife who's missed weeks of her favourite soapie!!! Withdrawal symptoms. Oh, speaking of which, I'm STILL trying to watch Monday's episode of Grey's Anatomy. I'm about 10 minutes in and keep getting interrupted (or just feel too plain guilty to watch)

Babyshoes - Well Done on the walking!! That is just great! Karla still just walks when she is between the 2 of us... maybe it is soon...

The forum has been so quiet!!! Is everyone away??

We are doing great. Karla still as cute as ever!! Love her so much, everyday just more!

Karla really eats very bad, so I have now started making her a 'green' smoothie. It contains banana, apple, greek yoghurt, frozen strawberries and frozen spinach, oh and a bit of water. She loves it, and she drinks it all up! At least she is getting something in her tiny little body... I don't know if it is teeth or what, but I am not fazed about it, just leaving her if she doesn't want to eat, she'll eat if she wants to!

How is everyone else doing??

Good Morning mommies....

I have the best news ever.... Luke is walking! Yayyyyy! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

For the past few weeks its been touch and go all the time - with a few steps here an there and holding onto everything (including the back of my pants) while attempting to walk...

But yesterday when I got home he walked to me from the one side of the kitchen to the door where I was standing. :woohoo: :cheer: :woohoo:

And now there is literally no stopping him - he is on the go!!!

Luke also cut his 6th tooth on Tuesday!! :) Once again he was just a bit niggly - no bad nappies, no temperature.. nothing!! ;)

Have an awesome day mommies and enjoy the long weekend!
