Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 Momies to Be

Yesterday I didn't come to work because I was looking for a maid,got someone from the township but she comes in 7:00 and I leave the house at 6:15.I am really looking for a stay-in nanny.

Zelf-I took Nathi to the GP yesterday and he prescibed the baby Vac and thanks for the website cause on line they are selling it for R192 and he charged me R220 luckily i did buy it then cause I still have to buy a vacuum machine.From sunday Nathi has lost apetite and it is worrying me hopefully the meds will help him eat.It's never nice when babies teeth they become so uneasy but glad the meds kicked in soon.Please share the photos I so envy a photoshoot but if you stay in a farm like me you don't get such

Hope you finished the invites Cookie-Monster?? Sorry to hear about the breastfeeding - but well done 4 months is a long time! Hope Logan's voice is not anything serious. Is it something that he had since birth?

Miss Kay- do you have a Baby Vac?(www.babyvac.co.za/) I had mine since my oldest boy was a few months - and it really works! Millay had a cold from Sunday, and all I did was Saline and then suctioning with the Baby Vac, and no more cold!

I am very relieved it's Friday - Janu had such a bad night last night. He is teething 4 bottom teeth, and I think it's sore and might have given him an earinfection. Woke up last night at 9pm and cried from then till 12:15!! I gave him some pain medicine at 9 and when it still didn't work by 12.15, I gave him a Voltaren Supp, which worked almost immediately! Then I slept till 3:15, when Millay breastfed,back to bed, and had to get up at 5 for work! So I am tired today!
Going for a family photoshoot tomorrow afternoon - hope we get some nice photos!

Cookie-Monster-Great weight .What was wrong with Logan's voice that you had to check it?Atleast you breastfed for 4 months,I had to cut mine short and boy oh boy was I blessed with being a dairy farm unfortunately the absence made me stop early I also love being mommy,my two kiddies just fills my life with so much joy.

My maid decided to quit cause Kriel is too cold and her body is not adjusting to the weather cause she is from hot climate Limpopo so since I am back at work and my maid is leaving don't have a clue what to do with Nathi.Eish maids can really disorganize a person

The muscus in Nathi's nose is just irritating and I bought the humidifier,saline drops,sweet oil and don't know what else to do.Can't the pead suction them cause now my baby breathes like he is snoring If you know of anything that can help please do tell me

And so comes the end of breastfeeding Had to give up on the weekend as Logan was just to hungry, tried to express and absolutely nothing came out. I gave myself a pat on the back to say well done for a wonderful 4 months.

Anyway, went to peaditrician on tuesday for logans check up. Logan is now weighing 8.5kg and a height of 75cm Dr said he is a bit worried about his height as it might give him problems with his back later on in life. Pediatrician also advised that we might need to see a ENT if Logans voice doesnt come right. He cant see anything wrong with Logan and he really doesnt think its allergies. He mentioned something about his vocal cords...Yikes

Logan is such a happy baby, i really cant find anything wrong with him. Zelmari loves her boetie, they play so nicely together, and logan just laughs at her. Man , i love these 2 kidlets and i love being a mommy (wouldnt change my past for anything).

Cookie-monster-Wow on daddy baking the cake,my DH is not good in the kitchen I am sure you'll get recipes for baking cupcakes maybe you can start a thread you'd be amazed how lots of mommies here can bake up a storm and i'm so bad at that Thanks with Re: to Nathi's weight,I tend to believe that some babies grow well outside the womb and boy oh boy he enjoys his feeds.I put hand gloves cause he loves scratching himself so he hardly sees his fingers till a friend teased him that he is Michael Jackson always wearing gloves.

Miss K - Wow impressive, from 2.7kg to 7kg in 14 weeks. Well Done Nathi.
Logan hates his dummy during the day, his hands apparently are so much better (by the time he is done, its just spit everywhere) He is a champ on the bottle and on the breast. But the way things are going I wont be able to breastfeed for much longer He has become a hungry boy, wanting to feed every 2/3hours again (We were feeding every 4hours or so)

So Z's bday is in 2 weeks time, i havent even sent out the invites yet So thats my weekend plans right there.
We having a small gathering of close friends and family and a few of Z's friends from daycare. Minnie mouse theme, got her outfit already made. Daddy is baking the cake and im going to be trying to make the cupcakes (help as i suck at baking cakes, give me tarts and i am a PRO).

Just feels weird that we are going to be celebrating my baby girls 2nd birthday already, it feels like just the other day i was screaming at the dr to cut me open and get the 'thing' out of me.

Zelf-thanks I will go look for the Bannits's saline drops cause I was using sweet oil for him but it doesn't help much,Enjoy the party I could use one at the moment.Take pics of the garden
