I agree, I think a 3 year age gap is optimal. Done with bottles and diapers, the older ones can understand well, and express themselves as well. The 2 boys differs 3 years and 9 months - and it was so easy!

Carolsch- I cant believe you have teeth already. And you are so lucky that Janroux is sleeping through!!! Shiloe slept through from 3 months and McKeilagh slept through from 4 months but Keira is still waking once a night for a feed. I cant complain though as within 10 minutes she is asleep again. Last night she woke at 11 and I tried to just give her the dummy but after 40 minutes she still wasnt asleep so landed up feeding her and then again at 3.30am so I am super tired today.

Zelf- I am so happy about Millay's feet, well done mommy. I also battle sometimes with the age gap. My recommendation for anyone is a 3 year age gap, my 21 month gap has been hard work. But I have realised in the last few weeks to rather let Keira cry a little and see to Mickey's needs than the other way around. It is less stressful.

My hubby is constantly complaining about our lack of a sex life. If he initiates we have sex but otherwise all I want is to get some extra zzz's. I know I need to snap out of it but I am just so tired.

Last week at the clinic she weighed 6.350kg and is 63.5cm which is not bad considering she was only 2.995 at birth. She is still on breast milk with 2 cereal feeds a day now. She is 19 weeks now. She hates lying down, she wants to be upright, looking at everything.

Wow - teeth already! Maybe that's why Janroux was feeding so much during the night.( I know it's time for teeth, but I'm so used to my kids who are late teethers - both boys only got their first tooth after 1 year). He is a nice and big boy . Ewan is the same as Ruan - we are playing a "game" nowadays:lets see for how long can you stay silent , it feels like that's the only time he is not speaking at the TOP of his voice or singing or making funny noises.

Janroux got his first tooth last week. Now the second one is popping out! Moaning a lot! So I am so tired too.

Last week everyone was sick and mommy had to run around like crazy. Got so tired. Janroux also woke for 2 or 3 feeds. When usually he sleeps through. So I felt like a Zombie. So now we are back to sleeping through the night. So happy! Hope it lasts.

Last time he got weighed was at 20weeks? And he was 9.42kg. Very tall big babba. He sits but still fals over so have to put pillows all around him lol He is 25weeks today !!!
He loves food!!! Esp butternut hmmmm. Thinks its pudding.

Ruan is a little monster! He is bouncing off the walls. Never still for one moment. Loves his brother, always offer his hair so Janroux can pull it. And man can that baby pull hair. I have to calm them down sometimes. Ruan will have Janroux laughing constantly. Hehe. So cute


So happy about millay's feet! That is soooo great! Sshe sounds adorable!

Miss kay, what a scare!! Sjho. But happy he is all smiles and giggles again.

Miss Kay - is Nathi better??

Had almost 2 weeks of little sleep between the youngest two! Janu started with teething, took him to the paed yesterday - tonsolitis, middle ear infection and bronchitis!! Millay was just moaning and groaning and waking up for more feeds during the night, I suppose not so bad at 3/4 times per night, but I got used to the once a night feed from her
Last night she was back to her old patterns - a quick drink at 2:30, and back to sleep till 6. Hope it stays that way! Got her weighed at the paed yesterday as well, she weighs 7.15 kg now, so she picked up nicely. Got some good news about her feet as well, she only has to sleep with her shoes now, the dr was very happy with the way they look -

Are you also enjoying your little ones now? They are starting to get a real personality! Millay is sooo playful and friendly, when she sees me her little face just lights up, and that sure lights up my day as well. She is strong as well - had both her brothers(and the cat ) in tears with pulling their hair and refusing to let go.

Are any of the babies sitting and/or crawling yet?
