Hi ladies :)

Ilse- so nice of your friends to treat you like that! :) I also bought bottles even though I'm breastfeeding. They fit onto my breast pump. I agree with ZelF it really helps out a lot if you need to go somewhere.

ZelF- then you and me both got sunburn yesterday. We went to fleamarket at the beach and we walked around for about 40minutes and it was so hot we then bought ruan a hat. Did not know it would be so hot! Then ruan played in the water for about 15minutes. Reason I am giving the amount of minutes is that you don't realise how quickly you can get sunburned. Ruan's got Sonsteek. Very feverish today and he keeps trying to throw up. Nothing coming out. Feel so bad for him.

So remember the hats and the sunblock this summer!

Simone, soooo exited for you! Enjoy!! Hope to hear from you soon. Know you are goinh to be extremely busy!! ;)

Anyway, enjou your day girls xxx

Hi!

Shoe - it's really hot here in Pta today! I can't get myself to go swimming - I have sunburn from yesterday - I look like a tomatoe - so cross with myself  !!

Ilse - glad you enjoyed the day on Friday! I also breastfeed, but I express as well from early one - just to give me that freedom to go somewhere and daddy or grandmas can feed them - so I think it's good that you got the bottles! I will try and update the list later and post it again.

Angi, are you going away for the holiday?

Simone - I will be thinking of you tomorrow morning early!! Good luck! Can't wait for the update of the birth of your little boy!

Keep well pregnant fairies!

Hey Ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well.

Zelf - Yes I did get some nice stuff. It was my 3 best friends that had a mini baby shower for me on Friday. Woke up friday morning and really felt like going out for breakfast but cash is a bit short so wasn't expecting anything.
Next thing I know one of my friends knock on the door to tell me they are taking me out for breakfast and then shopping for baby. Went to Mugg and bean had a horlicks with lots of cream (yummy) and a muffin. Then they gave me a R300 baby boom voucher. Litteraly took me 5 minutes to spend it. . They had tommy tippee bottles on sale for R120 for 3 260ml bottles so I took one pack of that. Even though I plan on breastfeeding it was so cheap that I figured even if I only use it later it would be a good buy. Also had wetwipes 3 packs for 30 rand.

Hope everyone is doing well. Can we get an updated calendar of everyones due dates. I am 31 weeks now and feeling really tired and uncomfortable.

Anyhow. Will chat again. enjoy your week. Going to the fetal assessment centre on wednesday for my weekly check up.

Morning

Simone, some people can be so insensitive!! And the remarks people make about birth, whether normal or c-section, can be so unthoughtful as well sometimes! If you don't know the persons history, how can you make a remark? Just ignore the man!!
Sounds like you had a lovely pampering day on Thursday!
My water broke with Janu in the car!! I just fell this popping down under, and suddenly everything was wet. At first I didn't know what happened, with Ewan I had none of this, went in for c-section at 38 weeks without any water breaking or contractions! Then it dawned on me what happened! We were at Woolies, so just sent DH to buy a few things, while I waited in the car. Then went home. DH was so stressed and wanted to leave for hospital immediately. I changed into dry clothes, and told him let's wait and see. But then suddenly there was another big gush of water, so I told him, okay, phone my mother to come look after Ewan, packed the last few things in my bag, and off we went. I was so calm, maybe because I thought I will go to hospital, and they will keep me there and monitor everything,I was only 35 weeks. But, at the hospital, when they told me , Janu has to be born that evening, I started crying and stressed. Luckily all went fine, and he was born later that evening via c-section( cord twice around his neck just like his brother!) weighing 2.9 kg. Was in NICU for only 4 days, and then we went home.
Simone, I am booked for the 3rd of January at 15:00, have to be at the hospital at 12:30.

Went choosing paint colours for our new house yesterday, think we found something we liked!
We were swimming yesterday afternoon, and it was lovely in the water- I felt so light and could move without any heaviness in the water - as soon as I hit the steps to get out- the huge pregnant belly becomes a reality again!
Went to bed really early last night- think I overdid it a bit the previous days! Feeling good this morning- and the funny thing is everybody else is still asleep.

Have a nice day ladies!

Morning ladies

Zel wow..so the popping starts soon and then its like a chain effect! Lol. Can't wait to see all the pics of the babies and hear birth stories!!!

Thank u for the update on Amanda and Vica. So great that she is doing so well! Still such a tiny thing!!!

Mummoo u are doing so well for carrying twins! Their weights are great!! Fx they stay put a good couple of weeks still:)

Carol good news re: sugar!!baby is a nice weight as well:)

Ashleigh so great u have midwife that has your back and preparing u for all possibilities!

Lumine your home birth...I can't wait to hear about that!!!! U and ashleigh...for me its so intriguing!

Was a bit annoyed yesterday as my friend's hubby comes and laughs and says: ha ha I hear u're going natural! (Which of course I can't)...but it was so gross for him to even consider...and he thinks c-section is 'easy'. I said its major abdominal surgery...I'd prefer to be able to try natural but can't.I'm fine (okay I am shit nervous of c-section) with the idea of the c-section now...but wow people really are opinionated and don't care how they come across? I just wish even though c-section, I could have gone longer...to experience water breaking at least.lol. Looks so cool on the movies!

Otherwise I'm doing well. Just eating too much! Put on half a kg this week alone!!! So weight gain 3.3kgs. Need to watch myself for next 3 days!

Zel I had mani, pedi, leg and brow wax on Thursday. Also cut my hair...and then last hair appointment Monday...making sure my pics will look better this time seeing as I wasn't prepared last time and look like gollywog in pics! Lol. Which date are u booked for c-section?

Ladies I can't believe soon we'll be asking each other for newborn advice...sleepless nights...the amazingness of our new baby's...wow!

Vision, is your stomach better? How did the Gynae visit go? And I agree, don’t know how the teachers cope - I love children, but don’t think I would be a good teacher! I also like the name Leah.

Carolsch , Janroux is a nice weight already. Glad to hear that sugar is fine!

IlseRoss – praying that everything will be fine with Milah! Saw on FB you had your baby shower today – did you get nice presents and what you needed?

Sjoe Maureen , Reagan picked up a lot of weight, nice! Jippee – you are on maternity leave – did you sort out the details?

Simone – that is a nice weight for baby. I think the timing is good as well, just trust your Gynae. You are lucky, going in early in the morning, I am only booked for 3PM! And yes, if everything goes according to plan, it’s you, then Mandy, then Annie and then me.

Carlene – I like the name Amey!!!

Mandy – sorry to hear about the problems! Hope everything is still fine?

Annie, I hope everything is ready at home for the birth of your LG? It can be any day now. Looking forward to reading about your birth experience! I would have loved to do a water birth as well, water makes me calm! But after I had to have a c-section with my oldest boy, I was too scared to try VBAC, so c-section it is for me.

Ashleigh – I like Taylin. Good to hear everything is sorted for the birth, now you can do the shopping.

Cakes, sorry don’t have a list, did you search the internet?

Mummoo – I thought you might have given birth already, good to hear from you! The twins are growing really nicely!

Amanda – see on FB Vica is doing so well! Girls that are not linked on FB, Vica weighs 1.520kg, and she moved to the nursery, she is no longer in ICU!! Sounds like the breastfeeding is going well as well! I am so happy for you Amanda. We have the same due date, so little Vica and her progress is very special to me.

Yeah – I am on leave!!! It feels so good! Went Christmas shopping today – everything is done and wrapped and under the tree! I just want to get something small for Millay to put under the tree as well. Also bought the boys small gifts from Millay, which we will give to them the first time they visit us in hospital My SIL birthday gift for the 8th of January is wrapped, Ewan’s birthday gifts for the 9th of January is wrapped. Now I can relax this week, and I told myself I have to pack atleast one box a day. Going to the Gynae again on Tuesday. On Thursday I am going for a mani, and pedi, and getting my hair done. Still need to book an appointment for a wax this week as well, hope they have space for me, I really don’t want a dry shave again at the hospital.

Have a nice weekend Ladies! Hope you and all the babies are healthy!
