Hi Everyone.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Sorry for being MIA. I had a very busy time at work and then these past few “off days” was also very busy. Last week Thursday and Friday, my mom moved in with us for two months. So I had to make place for some of her stuff. Plus I brought some work home with me. So I thought let me take a few minutes to just let you know that I’m still alive. I will be very busy from tomorrow at work, so there will not be a lot of time to write. But I will try to keep updated at home.

Anyway, everything is still going great with me. Was at the gyne the 22nd of December and Sussa was 2.6kg and doing really well. She is a bit big, so hope that everything will still be fine for the Vbac. Going back to the doctor on the Wednesday. Then I will be 36weeks. Cannot believe that my time is finely coming closer. Like Carol said, really trying to enjoy the pregnancy, because this will definitely be my last one, but it is difficult, because of Mia is also constantly on my bladder. (We have decided on a name. It is going to be Mia) And then the constant going to the loo at night is driving me crazy. I go somewhere between 6 and 10times at night. So all this is making it very difficult to enjoy the pregnancy. But, I guess it is all part of the deal.

Zel, I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Everything will be perfect, and tomorrow you will hold your LG in your arms. I really hope that Janu will be fine. It breaks my heart to think I must be without Emma as well.

Carol, I wish I can stay in bed for the whole day, but yesterday I sorted out the storeroom. Think I overdid is a bit the past few days. I had a “pinkish discharge” on Saturday eve, and period pain. I thought that it is time, but, now it is fine again.

Simone, congratulations on the birth of your boy, he is a real heartbreaker. I’m sorry for the pain after the C-sec. That is not nice. I remember that my C-sec was very sore, and I really hope I don’t have to go through that again.

Annie, I really hope your LG won’t let you wait much longer. It is hard enough to be 40weeks pregnant, it is not nice to go over the time, but hey, I guess that they will come when they are ready, and it is nice in Mommies stomach.

Vision, I hope you still enjoy your waffle maker. I must use mine again. A waffle and Ice cream is just what I need.
Jaundre, hope you enjoyed your time at the south coast. I don’t know when we will see the sea again.

Amanda, Vica is a real fighter. I hope she will be home with you soon.

Mummoo, I don’t know how you can keep up. I struggle with one 2.6kg girl in my stomach and you have two in yours. I hope the last few days will pass quickly for you and that we can see photo’s of your two girls very soon.

Lolliepop, I think I know how you feel about the Vbac. The closer I get to my end date, to more “worried” I become. But I know of a few successful Vbac stories. One of the pastors wifes, who used to work with me, had her first born in Cape town via C-sec after her gyne told her that she won’t be able to give birth naturally. They moved to Pta and she gave birth to her second and third child natural, with NO complications. And a girl that I met in the Babies room at church had a successful Vbac after just 16 months. So it is possible. But for me it is the Known vs the Unknown. I know a C-Sec is very sore. Maybe I’m just a big baby, because I do not want that pain again. But then I don’t know what to expect from a normal birth. But I guess I must just think positive thoughts and everything will happen as it should happen. The Lord knows best, and if I must have a C-sec again because it is best for my baby, then I will take that pain again.

Anyway, I hope to talk to you all soon.

Simone, wow Joshua is big! So gorgeous! I loooove the pics. Thanks for sharing. I am a bit scared for my C-sec. I had to use my meds for a week with the first c-sec. It wasn't so bad (the pain) but the meds really helped for my sore boobs :D

ZelF, will be thinking of you on Tuesday!! I wil be going for my app that day. Hope Janu is doing better. Ruan gets a bit teary when I bring up the fact that mommy will have to stay with boeta in hosp. But what can we do! Cannot wait for your pics :)

Annie, geez where do you get the energy. My baba is pressing down hard on my bladder I cannot walk fast. Not even thinking about dancing! Hope she comes soon... But in the mean time, yes just enjoy tjhe experience. This will be my last time so I am trying to enjoy it all the way, but not succeeding the bigger I get!

AFM: not much going on had a peaceful New Year. Stayed in bed the whole day. Al 3 (four) of us. I try not to walk too much, feels like I will wet myself. And he is really starting to hurt me when he is kicking. A very strong boy!

Anyhoo have a great week ladies!!

Nice to hear from you Simone! And your are right, Joshua does not look like a newborn baby - he looks a few weeks old already! He has alot of hair!(excuse me, I am not used to babies with hair B) )I am so happy for you that the BF is going well! Good to hear that Addison loves her brother! WOW re the weight loss!!

Lumine-Annie - I really thought you had your baby by now :) . Tallulah obviously wants to be a 2012 baby - yeah!! Hopefully she doesn't keep you waiting for too long. What does your midwife say - how long after due date can you wait before any intervention? You are right, it is an awesome experience to be pregnant - I feel very blessed to have experienced it 3 times. I can't believe you were out dancing last night - I just don't have ANY energy left at the end of the day.

Our first day of 2012 was not so good - had to take Janu to hospital, he has croup again and struggled to breath this afternoon. Luckily it's not in his lungs yet, so just got some Adrenalin and a bag full of medicine, and we're back at home. Luckily the right medicine works quite quick, so I'm sure he will be much better tomorrow! It's really breaking my heart thinking that I must leave him on Tuesday - I have never been away from him for that long - so I'm getting quite tearful just thinking about it. Ewan is fine, he is very independant and understands so well what's happening.
I am very emotional these last few days, even cried yesterday because I had a problem on the Internet Banking -very silly I know  .
I have been so busy these last few days - doing laundry, cleaning the house etc. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who helped and did the hard work! Tomorrow I am just going to rest!!!

Thanks for the well wishes for Tuesday!

Chat again soon.

Happy New Year, everyone! Oh well, my 1st of January due date comes and goes, I asked Tallulah is she would like to come out, she just said: "Nope, thank you!" I feel good, run around, had a mad dancing night yesterday for New Year eve, I sweat a lot and was finished, Tallulah just doesn't budge no matter how hectic or active I am. I must say it is tiring these last few days, I want my body back for myself. On the other hand, it is last few hours of enjoyment of those cute little feet sticking out. Awesome experience, I might never have it again, this pregnancy was hard achieved and a miracle, so I am thankful and try to enjoy last bits of it.

Zel - all the best, you might make it before me, let us know how it was as soon as you can. Babies birth news are always so exciting!

Mummoo - you might make it before me too, so good luck and please update soon, eishshsh I am falling behind with this content baby in my tummy.

Simone and Amanda - what a sweet pictures of your babies, so adorable!

Amanda - well done with taking care of your girl, she is a tough one to grow and recover, I am very impressed with you two. You are a great mom.

Simone - all the best for recovery, I had 3 endometriosis operations, last one was huge long cut, so I know what it's like when they cut you again and again and every time you have to recover in such vulnerable spots, not cool! But it does go away, don't forget to use BioOil, it does miracles for scars reduction. We want to go back to bikini after all! ;)

Juandre - how was your holiday trip?

Hi ladies\\

Been wanting to reply for ages but my BB internet not working/?? Is it only me?? We got adsl at home so now i can finally do a post!

ZelF...TWO MORE DAYS??????? How are you feeling? And Lumine....any word???

Amanda praying you can take your little girl home soon! It is such a miracle she is doing SOOOO WELL!! And she is so adroable. Thanks for taking the time to come and update us:)

Mummoo....you on the 6th again as well?? My word the baby boom has started! Cant wait to read the birth stories and see the pics!

Hubby wants to work on PC so let me wrap this up....yes baby Joshua was a great weight...he is so not like a newborn. So alert and strong...and feisty. lol. BF going very well! Totally different experience to how i battled with Addison as had to give up after 2w as bf just wasnt for her.

Some nights have been rough...last night was lovely...he slept for 5hrs then had poo nappy...I changed him and he fell asleep while i did that...he then slept another 3hrs before he woke for a feed! Hubby and i felt so well rested this morning.

Addison LOVES her brother...she is always coming to check on him, kiss and hug him..says how cute he is:) I felt terribly guilty the first few days as she wandered around the house....she even went to sleep alone one night and we found her asleep in her bed...i was convinced its because she feels unloved...everyone else says its her independence....but yes I've shed a few tears with the '2nd child guilt syndrome'...lol

Pain wise...wow this 2nd c-section was a shocker...i took pain meds on and off for 7 days! First time i stopped taking pain meds in hospital....walk in the park..this time I was a bit uncomfortable. Midwife said its due to them cutting through scar tissue, 2nd op...so it would take longer to recover. Luckily i now feel much better.

weight wise...I put on 4.9kgs with pregnancy...i've already lost 10.4kgs....so 5.5kgs lower than pre pregnancy weight! I'm very happy about that:)

Okay...here are a few pics...not the best and not very recent...will try to take more and post during the week.

Zel..ALL THE BEST FOR TUESDAY!!!!!!!! I'm sure you cant wait to meet your new arrival!!!!

Everybody else.....wishing you the best for this last stretch...will come do more personals once i have a chance...so sorry for not replying to everybody.

Hi!

Angi, hope you remembered everything for your holiday and that you are enjoying it!

Lollipop - if a VBAC is meant to be for you, it will happen! Just remember as well to be prepared for anything, if another c-section, then maybe there is a reason for that as well.

Mummoo - your girls are nice and big - such a blessing. I hope they are still safely inside?? Almost in 2012. B) How was the wedding?

Love the quote Amanda! I hope Vica is picking up weight again, and that the rooming in will go well! Not too long now, then she will be home with her family :)

Carolsch - it sounds like you have a very active little baby! At least you know everything is fine.

Juandre - I hope you have a lovely time at the coast, and that you rest a bit! It's scary how the siblings differs! Good luck with little devil MgKeilagh

Vision - I also can't get much done with running after Janu, have to wait till he is asleep to get something done! When I try to pack boxes, he either unpacks again, or packs all his toys into the box as well! When is Bekah's school opening? Can we all come for waffles?? :silly:

Went for my last checkup at Gynae yesterday evening. Heartbeat and bloodflow still looking good. Main concern at this stage is the placenta that's in the way, so they have to be very careful when doing the c-section. Can't believe it's almost time.

Had some very good news yesterday as well. My BIL is 37 and got married in Feb(no children of his own), his wife has twins from a previous marraige. They started trying in the beginning of the year, and said if nothing happens by the end of the year, one of them is getting sterilized, then they are getting too old to have more kids. We all prayed that they got pregnant, my BIL LOVES kids, and we all said that he deserves to have a child of his own!She found out yesterday she's pregnant :silly: :cheer: .

Well I am doing some work from home this morning, I said I will help out if possible today. Almost done, then we are going to the shops and pharmacy quick(I have a mild infection which Gynae wants to clear up before Tuesday).

Hope you all have a nice New Year, and that 2012 will bring much love and happiness to each and everyone of you and your family!
