Hello gals, sorry for my absence and Simone thanks for keeping the gals in the loop~! What a rollercoaster ride of emotions! it all started on thursday night when i had contractions 3 4 minutes apart without fail for an hour and a half, Soon I could tell what time it would be by my next contraction. Since it was from 21h30 - 23h00, i called the maternity ward and they said if there was pain that i had to breathe through then it could be a Urinary tract infection and I should come in now, but i decided to rather give it another half an hour. I was having pain but it was more dull pain in my pelvis and lower back.. All i could think of is if this was labour then what would happen if it moved quicker than 3 4 minutes in between~~!! anyhoo, on friday I had much more swelling in my hands and feet than before, like I could barely stand after making a cup of tea! and then on saturday i had a runny tummy and a head ache.. Then i got worried!! so I went in to check at the maternity ward.. They called my doctor - luckily he was on call anyway and to my SHOCK!!! THEY BOOKED ME IN!! they were worried as the contractions were actually continueing.. i was just so busy that i hadnt really noticed! and my BP was climbing, and then they found trace of protein and blood in my urine! I was only 36 weeks and 2 days, so they didnt want to act harshly but said if my bloods showed high levels of di dima or something.. then they would have to take baby out!! anyhoo, they started medicating me and i seemed to respond to the medication and the contractions stopped and the BP went down. On sunday they released me but said i needed to return on monday with my hospital bags packed as they needed to do comparitive bloods to see if the di dema had increased again and if it had, then c-section would happen at noon! so suddenly i had to fly my mom in and get baby sitters etc and prepare hubbys work that we might have baby on monday! luckily bloods were good, so they released me and told me to REST and if i had hectic headaches that panado would not take away , or swollen face or pain in diaphram area then to come back immediately! I thought it was all over but on tuesday mroning I woke up with a really runny tummy. I called the doctors room again and they said come straight in! They put me on the monitors again but due to lots of baby movement and no contractions, they said it was likely just a bug and not a sign of baby in distress and to go home again!~ I really feel like a drama queen but i do know of stories where people have left dioreah unchecked and baby was in distress and died a few weeks after delivery !!! so i just couldnt breathe with fear!

Anyhoo that is my long story~! so finally I am hope and getting better and hoping that it will be SIMONES turn first on TUESDAY next week for CSec and mine on Wednesday as planned!!! so a few more days of sorting stuff out! house, christmas, baby etc!

back to everyone else, Maureen, crap man, sorry your systems are down again! what a waste of your time! sounds to me like your IT guys need to come in a bit earlier for a while until they can gaurentee you can actually work in the mornings!

Vision Leah is a gorgeous name

Carlene - Im also constantly tired. Ive started that Berry Elixir and Ive started Magnesium .. hopefully to have a better start with new baby this time around

Wanted to tell you gals - Sister lilians products apparently are working to lessen colickly type symptoms> i read in the living and loving that research has indicated that colicky babies might have this from moms lack of magnesium during pregnancy.. and then from taking in bubbles during feeds mostly from bottles and also from having a pinched nerve from birth..( this was not in the article but what i have read about in other places) the pinched nerves can be treated by a chiro- so get to one urgently should baby have colicy, pain when trying to poo, lots of crying when trying to pass winds etc.. but also get sister lilans products mag phos for babies.. thats why im on the magnesium. the article also said that if the baby has lots of hiccups in the womb then that could also indicate the need for magnesium!!! and my baby has hiccups like 4 times a day!!

Little Jenna Lucy Biart born by C SEC on 21 Dec at 8.05 weighing 3.18 kilos and 50cm long - my healthy happy girl finally in my arms.

Morning Ladies,

I am just not in the mood to be at work today. Actually I want to go on holiday now!

Also this morning when I came in, our systems are down again! So that means we have to wait till our IT actually wake up and come and fix it! So don't need this today. Also my Manager has woken up to the fact that he hasn't done my performance appraisal in two years, and has scheduled it now for this afternoon, just my luck. I really don't feel like doing that today as well.

I am tired and irritaed, the usual as this point. At least it is a bit cooler today!

Have a good day.

Hi Everyone

Zel, I’m also constantly tired. It is sometimes very frustrating that some women go through pregnancy so easy and some really suffer. But I must say, this time is much better than my first pregnancy.

Vision, Leah is a very pretty name. It was on my list as well, but DH didn’t like it. He is stuck on Amey, but I still like Mia. I can’t a proper meaning for Amey. You pronounce it A-mei. I told him that I think the people will call her “Amy”. Emma is also very “busy” and every evening she wants to “piekniek” and poor Mom can’t sit on the grass for long anymore.

I had such a laugh yesterday and I just felt like eating her up. She was so cute. Yesterday on my way from work I stopped for some buns and viennas for hotdogs. (I don’t really feel like cooking these days) Anyway, She and DH came to open the gate for me and then she climb in the car with me. She saw the “worsies” and I asked her if she wants a “koue worsie” and she said, “Ja, saam met die piekniek” and then she asked if I bought bread as well. And then she said the cutest thing. She said to me: Mammie, baie dankie dat jy ons worsies en broodjies gekoop het. She said that about three times.

Simone, when you speak to Mandy again, please tell her she is in my thoughts and prayers. I really hope that her LG will stick until next week. I had high BP with Emma and doctor monitored me very good for Preeclampsia. My SIL actually got it with her first born and Jo-marie was born at 36weeks because of that. Shame, I really hope she feels better soon.
I almost cannot believe that it is only a week left before you can hold you LB. I wish I only had a week left and not 7. I’m really uncomfortable. Eish and the heartburn are driving me crazy.

Carol, we had our dinner on Saturday, but it was only a braai at the end. But I was still wasted afterwards and very tired. It was just too busy for me.
I don’t know how you girls can shop for 4 hours. I’m tired after an hour or less. I’m glad you are feeling better today after your sickness. Not so nice to be sick in the summer and while pregnant. Enjoy your gyne visit tomorrow. Emma also used to “scratch” me from inside. It is not a nice feeling. But it is the joy of motherhood. Luckily for me, this LG is not doing the same, so that is good.

Ilse, I ‘m so sorry you have to go through this, but like you said so far our Heavenly Father protected your LG and I believe and pray with you that everything will work out fine. Just remember that He is in control. And when this is all over you will be able to testify about the great miracle. Keep strong girl.
Maureen, Reagan is a really nice weight and he really sounds like a busy boy.

Angi, your LG is growing nicely as well. From now on she will grow fast.

Hope I didn't skip anyone.

Vision I like Leah a lot...but they're both lovely!

Ilse one just has to believe in the power of prayer!! So glad your lg is looking good and healthy:) we all pray it continues!

Also feel like I'm being bruised from inside...really ouch:(

Carol...ooh enjoy gynae visit tomorrow!! And where did u find your mil????? Mine is okay 20% of the time...but man the other 80%???? No comment! Luckily I haven't hired a hitman to off her only because she gets some credit for the wonderful husband she gave me;)

Re: dh complaints...I can't complain. He is a better parent than I am...he does more than I do...baths Addison, puts her to sleep, plays with her, etc. Still cleans up after her every night. I don't cook...he'd eat old brown toast and rave about it if I served it.lol. He treats me like a queen...when I complain its because of something petty...my friends roll their eyes when I complain about him.lol. I've been truly blessed..I'm sure we all are;)

Had scan now...baby estimated at 3.4kgs next week. I asked doc if 38.5w is an okay time...I'm nervous about not going full term as I believe we're pregnant for 40w for a reason...he gave me the stats and said he would never do earlier than 14 days...so he is happy with our date. Just praying it all goes well. Have to be at labour ward by 5am next Tuesday!!! Yikes!!!if Mandy's lg holds out, she'll come the next day!

Who is after that? Zel? And the new girl that joined...Annie?

Hello Ladies,

Vision - I love Leah, so beautiful!

I had a play room for Jamie for a while, but let it go as we are moving now to our new house middle January. So it is smaller and well, boys tend to play outside in anyway, thank goodness. Because after Jamie has been through our house it looks like a tornado hit it!

Isle - so sorry for the news. Good luck and keep us up to date with progress.

Went for my scan this morning. Reagan is 2.22 kilograms. He has picked up 620 grams in two weeks, and the doctor is very impressed. No signs of early labour, and I am very happy. As for movement, jeez I am blue on the inside!

Last night Reagan pushes his foot out, then Jamie presses it back with his finger, then Reagan pushes out again, and Jamie presses it back again. This went on for a good 10 minutes. DH was killing himself laughing at the boys poking there Mommy.

Such a busy day, but good as this week will fly by now.

Have a great day ladies.

Hi Ladies,

Hope all is well.

Simone I am so jealous really wouldn't mind swoping with you just out of pure joy and exitement.

So here goes. I haven't been telling you guys everything. Have been on a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I have been on weekly visits for the last 5 weeks and will be until Milah is born. Early in my pregnancy the gynae picked up that I have a anti c count which is antibodies fighting against the baby.
The count was very low so it didn't bother us. When I went for some more blood tests 6 weeks later the count was much higher and I had to start going for weekly visits.

My husband and I decided to be very selective with whom we tell as peoples opinions influence your thoughts and your actions and I did not want people giving me facts and being negative we prayed and still pray every week and so far a miracle has been happening. God has been really awesome and is protecting our little girl. The miracle is that even though there is an anti c count it is not affecting Milah and it really is a miracle as it runs through the blood and there is no way to stop it but with God miracles do happen and he is protecting our little girl.

In the beginning I was very emotional because my step brother and his wife lost a set of twins to the same problem at 6 months and their son after that was also affected by it and was born at 6 months.

Well went for my last visit on Monday and Milah is 1.6 kg's still have another 9 weeks to go. Going for my next visit on wednesday 21 December.

With everyone talking about their kids. Xander asked me last week: "Mamma, as liewe Jesus verjaar gaan hy ook by die pratytjie wees dat ons vir hom sy persente kan gee"

Sorry to hear about everyones problems with the in law's. I fortunetaly have a great MIL so nothing to complain about.

If I don't post before Christmas, everyone must have a lovely christmas and holiday I am working right through.
