Hi ladies

Been a while!

Annie welcome! We have the same due date...though I am having c-section on 20th December. Are you going natural? Is this your first baby?

CC wow..hectic health issues for you this last week! Glad you are starting to feel better though:) We were to hand out sandwiches at the hospital yesterday, but i made them and didnt go with...said I dont want to pick up germs 12 days before baby is coming!! Your MIL sounds like a dream! Where did you find her???? The rest of us picked ours up at hell's gates!

Juandre I could do a post about being annoyed and miserable every day! lol. So i feel you! My family lives with me...driving me BONKERS at the moment! My mom says to me it seems I spend the last 2hrs at work thinking about what I can come home and shout about....lol. SO DH pipes up...in my 'defence'...that there are pregnant women 'ALOT craZIER' than me! I had to burst out laughing even though annoyed as he said it so innocently and didnt realise what an insult it was...he spent a while trying to fix that one!

Juandre your mil is DRAMA QUEEN!!! MY WORD!

Vision dizziness? You need to take it easy missy! I am well thanks for asking....though like some here, crabby and sore and tired. PArked so far away from staff function, so after function with sore back, 28 degrees on uphill walk...i just wanted to sit next to the road and cry! Wow what an experience. PRayed so hard my car would come driving to me like Kit (??) from Knight Rider.lol. Finish up at work next week...booked pamper session for 15th...cant wait!

Carlene I agree with the others...you deserve the leave so stuff them! you're really lucky to have all that time with baby! I'm green with envy!

Ashleigh I hope she moves and doesnt stay there where she is hurting you:(

My mom made a joke with my mil to say we'll come eat there for xmas as we have small baby in house so cooking not a priority....she nicely ignored my mom (we would never really go eat there, was just a joke)....now I hear her one daughter going overseas, other daughter eating with her own MIL...now she is apparently going to ask me if she can eat with us! Her ARSE! Told Dh he must NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES entertain it...cause then he will see crazy! I will be with 5 day old...why do I care about where mil eats? And only because we are last option... I smile thinking of her sitting alone at her dining room table staring at xmas tree alone! lol. (EVIL I KNOW!!) Okay her younger son would be there..... but I said to hubby yesterday...does she ever wonder why he eats with my family EVERY SINGLE YEAR and his sister eats with her MIL EVERY SINGLE YEAR....why do her kids gravitate to their mils vs their own mother??? Something she really needs to think about!

Okay thats enough of my venting/.moaning/complaining now.lol.

Maureen - glad you had the time just to relax and chill out a bit. These hormones can drive one crazy!

Ashleigh - Chloé is 14.1kg and can't understand that I can't pick her up the whole time. I am truly sorry, but I just can't, she is way to heavy.

As for my MIL - She stays in Swakopmund, but we have a very good relationship. Sometimes better than with my own mom. I begged her to come and stay with us for 3 months after De Wet's birth and she is going to. She is very low maintenance. I like people like that

Anyway, I am going to put my feet up on my desk now and rest a bit. Nearly lunch-break!

Well everything just got to me, had to go lie down in the pub on the couch at work, felt like passing out. At least I could nap for 30 minutes, my boss PA was covering for me. Shame she said I looked like I was going to pass out!

Ladies some TMI (I have piles), and they really hurt, have been using the enimas the Gynae gave now for 4 days and they aren't getting any better. What can I do? I mean it was so sore last night, I had to take panado, which like helped for an hour. Now trying to sit even hurts!

Ash - picking up Jamie is a nightmare, he is 13.5 kilograms, and well he still wants to be carried! I fully understand where you are coming from.

And to all the ladies with the MIL problems, I feel for you. Just very happy mine stays in Robertson and I only have to see her once a year. Well next year twice but both times it is on my terms!

LOL!! I feel the same way. There is so much i want DH to do but he doesnt seem to want to get "rigting". The domestic also seems to be on a slow strike and she is working on my nerves. Wish next week would come because Im fustrated sitting at work doing nothing when there is so much at home I want to do. Must be the hormones and the heat is not helping.

Jaundre - Your MIL sounds like mine so stubborn for no reason. I swear they can be worse than children. So childish. :headbang:

CC - So glad de wet is doing so well. Hope you get well soon.

Welcome - Annie. Shoe your due date is around the corner. And you decided on a name yet?

I'm so uncomfortable. Its painful for me now to pick up Z and even holding her hurts. I think baby is lying with her head under my righthand ribs. Ai, ok enough moaning.

How is everyone else?

Hello Ladies :)

Juandre and Maureen sounds like your hormones are in overdrive but I dont blame you at all. I get irritated at the smallest things too especially when I am tired and have my rib ache ;)

Zelf so glad the party went so well! Cant wait to see pics of the cake it sounds really awesome if the dads were even admiring it. It is sad to watch your baby become a big boy - in a way you will always see him as your baby.

Ashleigh atleast you got started on the playroom for the children. I hope your midwife appointment goes well. Only a few more days before you close :cheer:

Chubbychick wow sounds like you were really sick - so sorry to hear that you must have felt aweful. Glad you are getting better.

Carolsch sorry about the bug you picked up - that really sucks seeing the MS just passed a little while ago - its the last thing you need. Glad Janroux is still kicking away and healthy

Welcome Annie - so nice you joined our group. I guess this is your 1st baby. Just shout if you have any questions at all!!!
We do have meetings every now and then - we have a lot of Pretoria moms so we will have to find a nice place in between.

Carlene you deserve that leave and you must take it. Your temp must just fill in and take care of the work. My SIL had 2 months annual leave owing to her and she took it on top of her maternity leave - she deserved it because she had been working without taking leave like you :)

Mandyb cant believe your time is almost here. Those addidas shoes are really good if the last so long with your busy boy

Simone how are you feeling. Such a short time left for you too :) Love the story about Addison and the magice wand - she is such a character!

Has been hot again this week - I really battle with it get so dizzy and feel yucky! Bekahs school closes tomorrow for the year so will be hectic trying to keep her entertained. Still have to do my christmas shopping  I am doing it little by little. Gave all bekahs teachers their gifts yesterday.
