@CC- I hope this is the end of your throat problems. Shame man... how terrible. De Wet is doing so well!!!!
I wish I could lose some weight... I am stressing about the weight I have picked up but it is my own fault I have been so naughty with this pregnancy.

Maureen- it must be in the air or something. I want to murder everyone at the moment.
At home everyone is getting to me. Shiloe asks a question and I answer, she doesnt listen and then asks me what I said like 3 times. My maid is driving me nuts too... being the end of the year she seems to be on a go slow. Over the weekend I went looking for the dog leashes and couldnt find them (they are always in the pantry). So on Monday (DH working at home) I ask him to ask her to find them. She opens the pantry and tells him they are not there. I KNOW that, but then he doesnt tell her she must find them he leaves it for me to get home and fight with her.
Then my MIL is another story. I have told DH that I am just waiting for Christmas to be finished and then I am telling her just what I think of her and her comments and guilt trips etc. The latest was on Tuesday- we have been redoing her shower so DH told her that she could use the kids bathroom while it was being done, she says no she will use a bucket (for 2 weeks) so he says to me he is not going to beg her she must do what she wants. On Tuesday Shiloe says to me shame mom Nan has had to bath with a bucket for 2 weeks cause she hasnt had a shower. I mean WTF- dont make my 9 year old feel bad for you cause you have issues.
Then I come to the same client every tues and wed. I have a designated desk. The PC at this desk isnt used when I am not here but the desk is used by another guy who moves into the reception when I am here as he just works with paperwork. But every Tues and Thurs when I get here he is set up at the desk and tells me to wait 5 mins while he sorts himself out. Why not set your self up at reception on the days you know I will be here.... And then instead of taking all his stuff he walks behind me every 5 mins bumping me while I am working...

So I totally get what you are saying..... Well that was my rant!!! :D

Annie- welcome, wow not long until baby comes!!!

Hi ladies!

I am still alive! Remember I told you I thought I had mumps. Well I went to the GP on Friday and she told me I had a bacterial throat infection. Gave me antibiotics and send me on my way. Well over the weekend I got worse, fever, chills, fatigue etc. Really struggled to get the fever down with 2 Panados every 6 hours. Went to another GP first thing on Monday morning and guess what? It was a viral throat infection (Faringitis), the worst the GP have seen in quit some time. Upped the antibiotics and gave me Stilpayne to get the fever down. Booked me off till today. Really only started to feel better last night and got the first nights rest in more than a week.

Also went for my check-up yesterday. De Wet is now 1.25kg (27 weeks) and everything is going well. Lost another 1.4kg due to being sick, but the Dr doesn't mind at all. All that we have to check is my BP.

Sorry for not doing personals, but have a lot of work to catch up on!

Have a nice day!

Morning Ladies,

Annie - welcome, we share stories, give advice and support. You can talk about anything here without judgement. You are more than welcome to join. Most of our mommies are from Pretoria, but if you want to meet in Johannesburg, I think just add a thread and ask around.

I think I am really hormonal at this stage. Everything that DH does or for that matter doesn't do is getting to me! Seriously when I ask him to do something I get this look, and then he does it half heartly! He used to help out a lot at home, but now for some reason he doesn't give a sh1t! And it is driving me up the walls. I have to do everything!

I mean I am getting up earlier everyday now, to sort out the house, clean up, do the washing, do Jamie's bottles, pack his bags! Every night I get home, then I have to clean up again, tied up, fold the washing, do more washing, do the cooking, clean up all the toys, and then have to sit and listen to DH moan about me being in a bad mood. And if he asks me one more time if I am angry at him, I am going to kill him!

Seriously he isn't doing anything worth while and if he does do something, I have to do it over!

Sorry that was my rant for the day!

Hello, I am Annie. Not sure how Jan/Feb/Mrch 2012 club works? Do you just correspond or occasionally meet? Does anybody know of pregnant and moms with babies meeting in Lonehill/Fourways/Bryanston areas? I am having a baby girl 1st January 2012 due date, and feel quite alone in my journey. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi ladies,
My gynae visit went well. Baby is growing well. But so is mommy- Ive put on 9kg's :( . Hubby was teaing me when we left the dr saying that baby only weighs 700 grams where did the rest come from.

Maureen- how long will you be in Durban. I would love to meet up if you are free at all.

Carol/ Angi- PLEASE do not toughen your nipples. This only opens your nipples and when baby comes will make them more sore. I used bepanthem from 30 weeks, putting on every morning and night. I didnt change to anything else, I took this to hospital and used it after every feed. I used it for about 10 days after M was born. I breastfed for a year.

Toughening your nipples is an old wives tale, you do not need to do this. If you have somewhere private to sit, sit topless in the sun for a few minutes a day from 30 weeks. And continue to do this after feeds when baby is born.

Yes Zel, they started with the plastering of our house last week and this week is my mom’s house. Then I don’t know what they will do next. We will go and choose the paint in January, if I still have the energy for it.
I have 4 months maternity leave. We also get 15 days a year annual leave a year. Mine expire in March next year and I haven’t touched it yet, because I’m still on last years leave days. In other words, If I don’t take any days leave until March, which I doubt, I think I will have 19days and I can only carry over 10days, so I have to take it somewhere and I can’t take in December of January, because it is audit time in Feb and I must help with the files. So I ask the HR lady if I put it in before March, can I put it in for the end of my ML and she said she don’t think it will be a problem. So I’m planning to take an extra two weeks for after my ML. I think it is just fair, because I’m the only one in the office that didn’t take any annual leave this year, I just took a day here and there. But that is not enough to rest. So I’m very tired and feel very over work at the moment. I’m one of those short tempered people at the moment, but it is because I’m so tired.

Anyway, I will enjoy my 4.5 months away from the work.

Maureen, I assume your bosses are men?? They just don't stress about things like we do. Somehow they just think it will get done - I think it's because they are used to the ladies doing everything for them! Hope you get it sorted out soon though.

Ashleigh - milk gives me even more heartburn! I hope you get the list from the midwife on Friday! I am also definately in the nesting stage B)

Carlene are they busy building at your house again? How many months ML do you get, and how many more days are you planning to take? The Malls are CRAZY!! I also try to go at times which are normally not so busy - but this time of year it seems it's busy all the time. I bought the cake at a place called cakes.net. They are reasonable with their prices, and the cakes are nice and moist. The venue we used are very nice, it's nice when it rains as well. Kids Paradise on the Zwavelpoort Plots.

Okay almost leaving time for me, going to Woolies quick to get Millay 2 newborn vests - the only thing I still need(I hope ;) )Ewan has to be at a birthday party this afternoon, so I will attend the occasion B)
