Simone sorry about the cramps! Glad you slept well last night. I am petrified of being away from Rebekah for 2 nights. I know she will be with daddy but I still feel like she NEEDS me
I dont know all of the circumstances with your friend but it sounds so strange that no internatls were done until the next day - i was checked alot to make sure I was dialating. Sounds like the gynae was a bit lazy to me?

Carolsch so glad your MIL is helpful it makes such a difference. Your FIL is crazy letting Ruan swim in hot weather isnt going to make him sick days later - it sounds like ignoring him will irritate him more than reacting I know the hospital I am going to allows siblings to visit during the same visiting hours as grandparents...
Janroux is growing so well - so glad your appointment went well!

Mandyb it is awesome that your gynae prepares you and doesnt just spring things at the last moment. Atleast you know there is a chance that it may only the 28th. Jenna is growing beautifully!

Ashleigh that is so irritating that your MIL "steals" your LG when she knows you will be home any moment and will want to spend time with her. Well done on not giving in to here devices

Carlene it is wonderful that you are not suffering with high blood pressure this time - it can be so dangerous in pregnancy! Any news with your house?

I am still feeling yucky - my sinuses are killing me and giving me headaches. I take panado but 2 hours later the headache is back. I cant believe tomorrow is the 1st of December - this year has flown by! christmas is a few weeks away We are putting up our christmas tree tomorrow so am very excited about that...

Ashleigh...that would annoy me as well! I HATED one day i got home and that morning Addison was still asleep when I left...so get home excited to see her and my mom took her out....and she comes home and Addison is asleep and sleeps til the next morning:( That was really sucky! MIL also likes to rock up the time i get home and also annoys me...the once in a blue moon she comes to see her gandchild!

Carol wow your FIL is opinionated hey?? My word! I agree with DH! JUST IGNORE!! Carol as far as I know siblings are allowed in the ward...just no other kids:)

Zel yip...just under 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to ask my gynae about these spots on placenta Mandy speaks of...dont want to take my baby out too early if he is not ready...doing c-section at 38 and a half weeks at this stage.

Zel when do you go on leave again? Next week? Will u be replacing your domestic?

Ashleigh I am also feeling huge though people tell me I am carrying small! HAve not weighed myself in 2 weeks so NO idea weight wise where I am at this stage and its freaking me out!!!!!!!!!! Scale batteries flat:(

All is well this side....slept like a rock last night (minus 3 trips to the loo) but i still wake up tired!!!!

Simone- sjoe, not much time left for you! Almost there - sorry about the bad cramps! It's not nice with the older kids at home and you at hospital. Ewan was 3 years and 9 months, and although he was fine with Granny and Pappa at home, by the 3rd night he also wanted to stay in hospital with me. When we came home, he needed re-assurance that I'm not going into hospital again. Addison is a nice age, start explaining to her now that you are going to hospital, you're going to stay 3 sleeps etc.

Maureen - glad to hear Reagan is doing good!

Mandy, Jenna is growing nicely. Trust your Gynae re the date, just don't think about the family coming.

Carlene - sounds like you had a nice day yesterday!

Carolsch - Janroux is growing nicely! And your DH is right - just ignore your FIL

Shame Ashleigh - sounds like you worked hard last night! It must be hard with the in-laws living so near to you.

I am really busy at work trying to finish the last items before my leave, and busy in the afternoons with Ewan's party, getting the house stuff sorted etc. I pass out at night - exhausted!! Have to let my maid go this afternoon,she is not able to handle all the cleaning and washing anymore, and she's not prepared to work more than 3 days a week, so will see what her reaction is going to be. I think I at least give her ample of timing, she can work till end of Jan.

With this pregancy everything has been easier. Didnt have bad MS, i do get cramps in my legs but not half as bad as the first pregnancy. I just feel alot bigger this time round. I feel as big as I was when I was 39 weeks now at 29 weeks.

Carol - Janroux is a nice weight. sorry about your FIL. They just seem to know how to make a person angry.

Yesturday when I pulled into the driveway my MIL came to her front door just to show me that she has Zaylee(on purpose). When I got into the house I asked my mom why is she there, my mom said she just came to fetch her(16:45). That really irritated me because, the whole day long she wont come and take her to spend time with her, she knows what time i get home so why fetch her when i get home. I mean I havent seen my child all day long so I expect to see her and spend time with her when I get home. I dont trust them as far as I can see them, they have always got an alterior motive of some sort. I said to my mom the only reason she came to get her now was because they want me to go there for some reason.LOL Im a very stubborn person, I refused to go fetch Zaylee ( I can at least stand at the back door and listen to hear if she's crying) . I hung up washing cleaned the kitchen started cleaning the floors. An hour later she realised Im not going to come so she sent Z back with her cousin. LOL.

Maureen - How did the injections go?

Mandy - Not long anymore for you. I would also just not sat anything to the family.

I have I medela electric breast pump which I used with Z and it workied well. I would love to get the double breast pump. But ja too exspensive will have to make do with the one i have.

Appointment went well. Janroux is growing well. He weighs 1.659kg. Mommies bigboy! hehe. He was playing hide and seek. And is head was a bit far back and low so we could not get a nice pic like all the other times. Maybe he knew his daddy wasn't there with me.

So we spent the whole day at cape gate waiting for cinema to open - due to a pipe burst. Oi and watched happyfeet. I soooo really wanted to watch breaking dawn, but Ruan won't have any of that ofcourse So hopefully it will still show for a few days. HOpe it is as good as the book!

Hi Simone welcome back!!! I used the Avent manual one. I hardly ever used it, but when I did it worked fine for me. This time I will probably also not use it as much but I like to know I have it if I need it. OIi I also worry about nights in hospital. Does anyone know if they are aloud to visit you? Last time I heard they were not allowed in the maternity ward

CArlene, lucky you. Ruan hardly sleeps in the afternoon so I don't get naps!!!!!

Talking about difference from last pregnancy> I had no problem with the first but this one is just tiring! I also get cramps in my calves. It is so painfull you can't even cry. And it is just at night. I think I stretch in my sleep.

I saw a notice at my gynea that there is a price increase from first of Jan. Instead of R400 it will now be R450> Imagine R450 for weekly appointments! Hectic..

Anyway, gotta go bake a cake. Its my moms Birthday. And tomorrow is our aniversary. Have absolutely nothing planned. We are tooooo busy! BAby we will do something when the in-laws leave.

Oh and I was so pissed this morning. Ruan woke up with a cough and sounds really bad. But he has been like that since last week.. a bit snotty, but no cough. So FIL said it is my fault cause I let him swim the other day. My gosh he was hardly in the water and it was sooo hot! I believe its the weird weather and he says it is my fault. I could strangle him. So DH said I must just ignore him. He just never stops! I am always doing something wrong. But I think he enjoys upsetting me cause I keep biting back. I should really just keep quite! from now on....

Hello gals, just a quick report back, baby jenna has grown nicely and is about 2.650kgs.. my bp is good and everything relating to placenta, bloodflow and sizes and heartbeat all good. Still on track for 21 dec but gynae also said he now watches the placenta for any calcification and there is NONE , no spots or anything and he says in the next 3 weeks he needs the placenta to start calcifying until it gets white lines or stripes to show the maturity of the placenta which is ready to move away from baby.. so if not 21st then 28th december - yikes! whole family flying up for a week from 20th to 28th so that could be fun. Decided not to tell family as they will panic and at the end of the day i will do what is right for baby and me at the time ! so only time AND NATURE, will tell! my gynae is known to throw a spanner in the works and he only does that to prepare me for the worst so that i have time to accept things, so anything could happen!

Maureen good luck with the injections. I know how that almost “paranoid” feeling. I also almost had Emma at 32weeks, but they could stop the contractions. But now with every pain, I’m worried. But I believe everything will be fine for you.

Simone, I’m turning 36 in January, but this pregnancy is much better than my previous one. I think because I had high blood pressure it was not so nice. But I don’t think I will be able to handle another pregnancy. I also struggle with cramps at night. I got myself some SlowMag and it seems to help. Still do get the cramps but it is not so bad anymore. Not nice to wake up with cramps. Guess baby is taking a lot out of our bodies.

Well, I had the day off. It was Emma’s playgroup last meeting for the year, so I thought I will attend that so that everybody can see Emma’s mom. Guess I’m the only working mom there. Anyway after that we took a nice afternoon nap.
