Sorry I have been MIA - life has been busy!!

Was my birthday on Friday - 11/11/2011 so worked half day and then me and 3 girlfriends booked ourself a nice spa treatment and then high tea at the Mount Nelson Was such fun! I even got some prezzies for the babies Some nice things were bought from the Mothercare range from Woolies - so cute seeing 2 of everything! Had a nice weekend too as the celebrations went right through.

I'm 30 WEEKS!!!! - EEEEEKKKKKKK

Its scary. Also collected my Discovery bags yesterday (YES - Actually got 2 of them due to me having twins - was wondering when the perks would come?????) Quite nice things in there as you say Simone. Made me think that I need to start packing my hospital bag for just in case. I have to go scratch for my breast pump in case I need it for hospital. I haven't bought any new born clothes for these babies yet - went to look at Woolies range yesterday but couldn't find long sleeve normal baby growers! So weird.

About the baby shower thing - for my first pregnancy I had 2 - one at work and one my friend's organsied. For this pregnancy, I'm not sure I'm having one! Don't know if I should? I dunno - I just don't feel right asking someone to throw it for me. Would be nice as its twins and every bit helps, but even if I don't have one, we usually have a name-giving ceremony within the first week that the child is born and people who come to that will usually bring gifts.

Anyways, off to a comedy show this evening. Was hoping that maybe I would go the Janet Jackson concert tomorrow night but we'll see. Hubby is worried I'm too big! I do get so tired quickly these days........

Need a laugh? See the mail I just received from “ABSA”. Look at the poor translation between English and Afrikaans. Do this people really think I’m stupid? Maybe they must first get a better translator. I really hope that there is not anyone still falling for these people.

Ai Maureen, I hope you get something for the wedding ring. Luckily my DH’s wedding ring cost us R65.00.

I am so upset, DH has gone and lost his wedding ring this morning. I am now on the phone with Outsurance trying to claim it...I really hope they can give me something for it!

I am so tired today. Our power went down twice during the night last night. Luckily for short periods, but it was enough to wake me up and keep me awake, because the fan didn’t work and it was hot. There was no breeze outside. And Emma woke up twice and every time I struggle to go back to sleep again. I hate this last few months of pregnancy. I’m so uncomfortable, and I miss sleeping on my tummy.

Maureen, glad the Christmas party went well and that you enjoyed your Baby shower. I also got a lot of clothes and that wasn’t even on my list. I will just go and exchange 3-6mnths stuff, because that is short sleeve and by that time it will be winter. Enjoy the 4d sonar, hope you get nice photos of your LB. Also glad that you are feeling better. Hope that it doesn’t come back again.

Ashleigh, glad your consultation with the midwife went well. Not so nice to have tooth ache though. And a Root canal is not nice, but if it’s better, then it is good.

Zel, you must feel so relieved that you got you house plans from the municipality. Is it still with Kungweni or with City of Tshwane. I remembered when we tried to get our house plans approved it was also a mess at their offices. The lady, who gave our plans in, went there because they apparently lost our file. And when she got there, they have found our file, but it wasn’t just our house plans in there. Someone else’s plans also ended up in there. Hope the transfer will go smooth for you.

Ilse, so glad you are out of hospital. Do take it easy please and take good care of yourself.

Ash - my tummy is feeling alot better. I stopped taking the medication yesterday, but will have to see if it flares up again.

I am now getting excited thinking about what I still need to get...so good feeling all around.

Morning Ladies

I hope everyone had a good weekend and have a good week ahead.

We went to see the midwife on friday for our first consultation. She measured my belly, listened to baby's heartbeat, checked BP and wee everything looks good.

Also had to go to the denstist friday afternoon. I had terrible toothache caused by a absis. Dr did a root canal and has put me antibiotics so I feel much better. Have to go back on friday for a new filling.

Amanda - I hope Vica is doing better today and I hope you can start kangaroo care soon.

Maureen - Are you feeling better? Glad your xmas party and baby shower was nice.

Ilse - Glad you are home and Millah is doing well. Rest as much as you can.

Carlene- Sorry about the problems with the bank.
