You just go to Dischem and apply for the Moms and Tot’s card, if you already have a Dischem card, they just link it to that. Then you must spent R300 at dischem on anything, and in your third trimester thay phone you to collect your bag. I was happy with my Discovery bag, so I think it will be hard to impress me with anything else.
Well, Simone, if you go to a Mediclinic hospital, you will get a very nice bag with everthing in except the clothes, that you will need for your stay in hospital. I saw my friend’s bag, and it is really nice.

Ag no Ilse, hope you are better soon and that they find what is wrong with you. Just take it easy and relax.

I was also wandering why it is so quiet. But, I can’t complain, because I didn’t say much this week.

Carol, so glad you are feeling better. I’m a bit tired today. We went for a long walk last night, just to get some exercise. But today my butt hurts. But otherwise I’m fine.

Cakes, I will definitely go to Baby city to have a look. That second special is really not bad.

Simone, I used the MAM dummies with Emma, but back then they didn’t have the nice sayings on them. But I got one in a Baby and Toddler magazine, so I will use that one and maybe go and get some more. I’m getting 4months fully paid ML at my job, so I want to work as long as possible before I take leave. And then I have about 12 day annual leave that I will loose if I don’t take it, so I want to take that after my ML. Just to make my stay a bit longer with the LO.

Zel, that is disappointing about the dischem bag. They just phoned me now; I can collect mine as well. Will go this afternoon.

I must still go and look at the prices of stuff, because with Pta east we don’t get that nice bag with stuff in as with Kloof. I can buy all the stuff from Pta East pharmacy, but it cost R230. So now I want to see what will it be if I buy it myself from Dischem or clicks. I did however received a bag from storks nest when I went for my 4d, but it only had 1 pack of no1 nappies in and 1 pack of huggies wipes. The rest was all pamphlets and samples of stay soft and washing powder.
How many packets of no1 nappies did you use with your babies? I only used 1 with Emma and that was the one we got in hospital. I have 3 packets at the moment, but don’t know if I must maybe exchange it for no 2’s.

Hi Simone. I plan on taking 4 and a bit months ML, Millay will be just short of 4 months when I go back to work. Still have to discuss and confirm with directors next Friday though Still waiting for the medical aid bag though, hope its better.

Zel sorry about the bag:( my friend had discovery bag and got baby sense taglet, nuk bottle, toiletries, etc and really cute bag. I was also hoping for something fancy but it was filled with everything u literally need if u went into labour right now. So not fancy but practical. Hopefully hospital bag will be better?

Cakes don't stress about kicking...baby is good and healthy and that's all that matters:) hope placenta moves or baba moves;)

Did I mention the MAM dummies have sayings on them...they are so cute! Like 'my mom rocks' or 'wild child'! Just for that I am considering dummy.lol. But will see.
