Hi girls

Quick 'selfish' post again as DH wants to use the PC and I want to go sleep.

Had 36w scan today (Cant believe its so far already!)
Baby is still head down but floating high up, no sign of engaging yet (I know this can happen at the very end). But basically doc doesnt want to allow natural unless she has engaged. My pelvis is apparently triangular so combined with baby staying high he will do a csec. But if she drops he will consider natural.
He is willing to take it one week at a time still, and provisionally put down a csec date of 19 Oct (39w) and I will see him at 38w for another internal / scan.
Still lots of place, placenta is fine, babys growth is on track and I'm fine too. So he's comfortable not doing a csec 'early' at 38w which I'm relieved about.

There isnt a whole lot I can do to get her to engage, so we are on wait and see approach and I'm trying not to get anxious about it. Just happy hes still willing to wait a little longer and who knows she may move down. She is extremely busy though wow!!!

My last work day was meant to be today.
But they had a set back as the temp withdrew last minute. They just found a replacement today, starting on Monday. But considering I am still 'available' if required, they've asked me to stay till Wednesday to do a hand over and some training next week.
I'm very grateful as I need the cash, but also extremely tired as K was up for 2hrs last night and work has been extremely busy this week. So hitting the sack 'early' and hope to get lots of rest this weekend!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Hi ladies

Welcome Alexmillar!

I am actually getting quite worried. There is still absolutely no sign that baby is ready to come. Had an appointment with my midwife yesterday and she didnt do an internal but she did a NST (non-stress test) and said there was no sign of uterine irritation on the scan thingy meaning no signs of early labour yet. My due date is on Sunday and my midwife is going away for the weekend (which shows just how sure she is that baby won't come over the weekend :( ) But we've scheduled a stretch and sweep for Moday evening to hopefully get things going. I can't have a chemical induction using Pitocin etc because of the VBAC. So, hopefully the stretch and sweep will work! I really really really don't want to have another caesar. Everyone keeps telling me to keep an open mind about the possibility but I just can't. It's as if "keeping an open mind" is like giving up mentally, if that makes any sense. I don't even want to entertain the possibility.

I have a confession to make. I may just be a workaholic. After just one week at home, I am SOOOOO bored!!! I've bought everything for baby and for myself. My memory suddenly kicked in and I remembered every little item that helped make life easier with my 1st LG and I bankrupted myself buying everything I may need. So now, I'm just sitting. Sometimes I even go to meetings with hubby just to get out of the house. This baby better come soon or I may just go out of my mind

Sorry for selfish post. Glad everyone is enjoying their new little bundles. I'm so jealous! :P

Robyn strongs, its scary what ppl have to go thru when their
better halves pass away. Hope ur mom can get sorted asap.
With tym you will get used to him not being there, in most cases
death only becomes real afterwards when you realise the person
is really gone.

Ella Esmom hope labour comes on soon,so you can be relieved.
BettsF how is it going?

As for me, my scar is taking long to heal I am actually getting

Hi robyn, sorry to hear about your dad, must be so tough, big hugs to you! Hope all gets sorted quickly and doesn't cause too much unnecessary stress for you and your family.
Great that you are finally on leave! Better start relaxing, you never know when baby could come now..lucky you! Hehe.
I'm going to false bay, we live like down the road, was hoping to go to mowbray, to the active mirth unit, but left it too late- I wanted to go there, but didn't act on it earlier as its so far and I wanted to opt for etonox and I thought I could get it at FB, when I found out they only do pethidine I was scared and tried to book at mowbray but they said I'm too far along, and its easier to just stay at FB and opt for no meds. The idea of pethidine really scares me!
You are going to kingsbury right?
Have heard really good things about it. What are your plans for labour?

Hi ladies
well, I've been on leave for just over a week now and I've yet to start relaxing!
Plus I was sick on Thurs & Fri - not fun :S
But now my bags are all packed and ready, all baby's things are in the compactum - just need to clean her room abit

Went for my 38wk check today - McK is just over 3kg but she still has loads of room and fluid to play and grow, so doc says she could def stay longer - but you never know) My gynae is going on leave 1-7 Oct and my EDD is the 8th ( ) so she's given me her earliest appt the first day she's back (due date)
She's still extremely active - even during the scan, she was rolling around (gave doc the run-around!)
In total I'v picked up 14kgs :pinch:
It's been about 3 weeks since my Dad passed and it's still not real to me - keep looking for him/wanting to ask him things etc  and my Mom is going thru hell with all the Will/Lawyers sh!t (she has to pay off the house immediately  plus SARS wants 20% of the estate but it can take up to a year to get the enheritance sorted !!!

Anyway, will keep you posted on any progress and congrats to the new Mommies
