Hi girls.
Hope all the mommies are doing well! I cant bellieve I'm really the last man standing
Monica how are you doing hun? I really hope the colic is subsiding now and that you can start settling into this and find some enjoyment before going back to work again.
To all who have babies on their boobs all day (it does feel like that sometimes!) just remember they are getting awesome nutrition from it, but dont feel bad to loose the plot occasionally - make sure you have rescue on hand as well as some wine

But seriously, the first 4 months can be pretty tough the first time around, its a HUGE adjustment that no one can prepare you for.
Quick update from me:
One way or another Rei will be here by next week Friday 19th October. I will be a day short of 39 weeks then.
Dr is not at all supportive of allowing me to wait till 40 weeks before doing the csec. I argued a bit with him saying that I feel cutting early doesnt really give her proper chance to arrive on her own, and since I'm totally healthy and so is baby, I cannot see why he wouldn't be willing to wait. But anyway no use crying over spilt milk. I am disappointed but at the same time I knew what I was getting into, and that gynae's as a rule just aren't supportive of vbacs. And my DH wasnt comfortable going the midwife route with what problems we had with Kaylee and her heart so I will get over it.
If I go into labour before Friday, and she happens to engage before then (doubtful) then he will allow me a trial of labour. But if nothing, then we will be going in on Friday for the csec. Will only know the time on Wednesday once theatre schedule has been finalised. It's probably going to be around 11:30 though which suits me well as it means a good few hours before afternoon visiting hours happen. Last time I was still busy feeding Kaylee and had the family waiting outside to come visit.
I also spoke to him about the fact that a nerve was caught when they stitched me up which made the recovery really bad (maybe he can see why I'm not keen on it) and the fact that with Friday csec's all the things for discharge day happen on a Monday morning after the weekend, and everyone is coming in on top of each other to do the tests etc before being discharged by 11am on the Monday.
I've done all I could now we place our trust in their hands to do the rest! I have requested our daughters paed which I'm very thankful for, just hope he is available, but will email them too.
I have managed to wash all the newborn and 0-3 month clothes, just need to pack the 0-3 month stuff into the big suitcase (no space in the house for it).
I will pack the hospital bags tomorrow finally!
Then on Monday I just have to sort out a couple medical queries relating to the last tax year and then I can submit my and hubby's tax return. Expecting some money back so that will help pay for gynae bills etc. And then - finally - from Tuesday I can wind down and start doing sweet nothings during the day and hopefully have a few days to myself. I don't expect Rei to be making any appearance before Friday, my womb is nice and comfy it seems
