McKim which brand are you using? I must go buy one this week still - umm maybe next week rather :D

The stuffy nose is totally normal in a newborn. Just keep rinsing with saline and get one of those bulb suction things to help pull it out as it makes feeding hard too.
If you are breastfeeding, put some breastmilk in his nose, it helps wonderfully to clear it up!

Sounds like your baby is a 9 nappies a day kind of guy! Yes in the beginning they go through them super fast! Dont open another no 1 pack if you think you can go onto a no 2, cos you can swap the closed packs out for a bigger size.

Kaylee used to feed 2 hourly in the day and 3 hourly at night, eventually stretched to 4 hourly. It was hard work, as with breastfeeding you cant have someone else do it!
If you can express now that your milk has settled in, from about 6 weeks do so. Then you can skip a feed, go take a nice bath or go to the shops so that you can get a little break too.

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Sounds like a generally good labour all together. Well done! I'm certainly liking the idea of an epi :D And she definitely came at just the right time, if labour went so fast!
Laid back and calm hmmmm I like :D
Take it easy! I'm sure you'll be back on your feet in no time :D

Hi ladies
Mckenzie Ria Cowie born 22:15 on 10 Oct, at 3.55kg
Had natural with epi-12hr labour this time (compared to 25hr last time)
Contractions started 11:00 yesterday but my water only broke when on epi so not actually sure when it happened.
Labour progressed quickly (3cm at 16:00 then 8cm at 20:45 and fully dilated at 21:25
There was merconium discharge during the birth so had to stop pushing as soon as her head was out so dr could suction her nose & mouth and the cord was wrapped very tight around her neck, so abit scary but all went well
had a little tear but nothing too hectic
She's very laid back and calm, chilling next to me at the mo
will try attach a pic but not sure I can from my phone

Sorry for the terrible spelling -typing on my phone.

Oh and I had a c section, doctor used glue not stitches and outward scar was healed in two weeks. Still sore though and I'm not quite up to speed but they say another two weeks and I should be ok. I have the stomach band thing and it's fantastic. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Wow, Robyn that's cool. Good luck!

Congrats to all the moms who've had their babies. Sorry I've been a little out of it but Matthew has me so busy and he's only one child. I have no idea how those of you with toddlers cope. You all deserve medals in my opinion. Matthew is doing well, 4 weeks tomorrow. He just had patches in the middle of the night where his nose gets all stuffy and he can't sleep. And other patches where he feeds every two hours  . Still he's totally worth it.

On the nappy front we're on to box three of the number ones. Pampers that is, Hugues ones only footed for about a week. He was born at 3.75 and is now almost 5 kg so I figure we have leaf than a week if number 1s left.

Good luck everyone.

Oh wow Robyn that's so cool a live update :D
Really hope it goes smoothly for you and that your night ahead is easy!
PS Have you opted for an epidural ? Since you're on moomie thought maybe its cos its pain free?
