Got so spoiled by mil last night got slippers sleeping bag and clothes and the most beautiful pink knitted jersey and booties and a blanket that was knited by dh grandma!!

Had a bad night again struggle to sleep!!

I have a storktea tomorrow really looking forward to it!!

Sounds like there is a fair spread between team blue and pink going on. Joybaby, you're right, most of the people I know on their second pregnancy have two of the same. One co-worker has a 3 year old girl and is now expecting girl twins. That must be quite a handful.

I went to my 25 (ish) week scan last Friday and it went super well. Everything is normal and on track. He put the 4 D scanner thing on and we could actually see our baby clearly. Apparently he's a little camera shy as he kept moving his hands in front of his face but we got a good few photos.

A note on the heaters, a friend of mine recommended using a small fan heater in the bathroom - turning it on halfway through the bath so when you take the baby out he doesn't get too upset at the change in temperature as you're drying him off. Don't know if it works or not, I guess experiementation is the best way to learn.

Just had a friend give birth last night at 7 months apparently she got a bladder infection and it caused her to go into labour early. I didn't even know that could happen

Got some sleep!! now sleeping on dh side of the bed on my left side with a pillow under my tummy!!

Im not sure when my storktea will be i guess somewhere in July!! Mil is writing exam in June!
Im really getting spoiled from all over!!

Feeling uncomfy and bloated today!!

Please think of my uncle in your prayers today he is going for his operation tomorrow 8 hours trying to remove all the cancer again.

BettsF congrats on team blue. Most ppl I know who are due with their 2nd babies are having 2 of the same. Almost everyone on here who is pg with #2 is!
Wow gynae's sure are scared of natural birth! Dont you have an option to go with a midwife instead of a gynae where you are?
I think if u managed fine last time, whose to say you wont manage fine this time!

Re the panel heaters - just one thing to look out for.
Take a look at the size compared to that of your room.
We initially had the 2x3 in our room and it hardly had any effect. When K was born we moved ours into her room which is smaller, and bought ourselves a 3x4 heater and wow what a difference! The 2x3 is good for K's room but go bigger if babies room is bigger than a 2x3 room.
We bought the Econo Heater last year. Cant remember where from but they sell at clicks, pnp, builders warehouse, game etc.

Ginah hey! I cant remember if my scan is on the 12th or 15th anymore. Cool we have some scans to look forward to
Re the hooded towels, I mean the really small baby ones - they are too small for Kaylee now so we've had to buy her bigger towels. I rather buy 3 for R120 than 1 hooded towel for same price. I do like the hooded beach towels though so have 1 of those and will buy another in summer.
Wow you've managed not to tell your boss yet! Are you not showing yet / able to hide it?

Shew dont scare me now! So far this has been a MUCH easier pregnancy than last time! I havent had half the niggles I did last time.
Although I could've done without the nausea till 16 weeks! I am grateful not to have swelling and stretch marks all over yet!

Re pelvis pains - at 26 weeks I had to stop all exercises I was doing, because I had the most horrible pubic bone pain. I couldn't climb stairs, or climb into bed, or open my legs in anyway without being in terrible pain! I also had sciatic nerve pain which was really bad at the end. So I am really hoping I dont suffer with any of that this time around or at least not till the last few weeks!
Time seems to be going so much faster this time though!
Cant believe some of our girls are almost into their 3rd trimester already yikes!!!

AFM not a whole lot to report.
Kaylee has been sleeping fairly well lately (TOUCH WOOD!!!). But she does wake cos of leaking nappies (stupid huggies dry should be called huggies wet!).
But the last few days shes slept so nicely in the mornings. Wakes around 6ish for a bottle, then sleeps again for an hour, then comes and climbs into bed with me and doses with me for another 30mins. What bliss!

Waiting to hear back on 3 possible interviews.
2 temp positions, not paying that well but better than nothing. 1 is close to home, but pays less, and the other is further away and pays a bit more but would cancel each other out in terms of petrol. I would prefer the one closer to home as its a longer contract.
Then got a call this am from an agent in jhb regarding a job doing very similar to what I had done before and paying really very well. A nice stable and growing company with lots of growth potential.
Its full time, so I had to tell them about my pregnancy, but also tried to motivate that I was willing to work part time from home during my time off and come back early if required, in order to encourage them to give me a chance. She did sound a little dismayed at the end but now we must pray that if its meant to be it will be!
Would certainly be an answer to our prayers though and although not close to home, easy route to get there!!!

Anyway I'm going to take a short nap quick, I'm very tired today for some reason.
Then shower and wait for calls for interviews

Hi gina, are you saying you havent told your boss you are expecting? Are you not showing?

Elamsmom - you were saying you are experiencing the round ligament pain, 2nd time around moms have way less tummy control so when you get that pain you will have to stop and put your feet up. I am 32 and a bit weeks and this pregnancy has been a lot harder physically, although emotionally and mentally easier. So sorry to say, but unfortunately it is normal.
