hey mommies!!
wowee our babies are growing up super fast! some are sitting, some almost crawling! Can't believe how fast its gone!

Rei is 5 months old tomorrow and too cute for words.
She still loves mommy's milk and we will introduce solids next week. We also introduced to Kaylee around the same time. She discovered by banana on Saturday and loved it so I decided it's time.
She still wakes up once a night, and then starts getting restless from 5am which is really hard cos she'll eventually fall asleep around 5:30 and then my alarm goes off at 5:45. This is the new normal of a few weeks ago but I really hope it doesn't last long it's exhausting.

She is a super friendly baby and doesnt really cry for anything and smiles and coos loads.

The routine etc is insane though and I sit here struggling to stay awake but must still wash bottles, shower and pack lunches for tomorrow but I'd really love to just go to bed. This is the daily struggle for me.
I'm hoping the introduction of solids will help us see some more sleep at night and then I won't be as tired any more.

Well gotta run! Take care all xx

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.

Good evening Ladies!

Shoo I haven't been here for a while! Being back at work and then getting back into a routine in the evenings has kept me very busy!

So glad I'm not the only one suffering sleepless nights! Alexis got the flu three weeks back and well since then she hasn't slept through, wakes up at 11.30pm sometimes but always at 2.30am then at 4.30am!

She has decided she now refuses to drink her milk with me and not just at the day mom so have tried adding cereal in to change the flavour but wont drink more than 100ml. Think it's possibly her teeth as she loves sucking and chewing on a cold flannel.

Zoe I'm using pansoral gel seems to be working for us! Good luck in finding something.

Anyway hope all the other baba's are doing well!

Have a lovely evening!

Hi All

Wow its been awhile!
Zach is just over 5 months now.
Been back at work from 1 Feb

There has been so many changes at work, my boss
Resigned whilst I was on maternity leave and people have
Been retrenched.

Anyway, they have added a lot of work for me, so I have been
Extremely busy, and there has no time to log on and chat.

Zach is teething, I can feel his tooth, its on the top of his mouth, and he
Is very uncomfortable. I have tried teegel, but seems like it doesn't soothe him

I been looking for the teething powders but have been advised
By the pharmacies that it has been removed off the shelves.
A lot of people say that the powder is much more effective.

Hope the other mums are doing great and enjoying their babies.

The hardest for me was when I had to return to work, the first week
Was tough for me, leaving Zach.

Hey girls
Long time!

Been back at work almost a month now. Time goes so fast!
As with all of you the weeks are crazy busy, and weekends go too fast. Doing this with 2 young ones is a big difference to one!
I am expressing milk x3 a day which has its own challenges but formula is too expensive for us right now. I'd like to see her through winter at least on most of her milk. Yesterday she was very hungry so daymom had to make use of our emergency formula and she didnt like it at all!
Rei is 4 months old (cant even remember how many weeks now, 18?) and weighs just over 7kg's. She's quite tall also. Drinks well, and is generally very well behaved. Goes to bed easily too. Polar opposite to her sister. But I do remind myself K has had many more challenges in her life!
She wakes up between 2 & 4 for milk and then sleeps again till my alarm starts going off at 5:45 lately - used to sleep till about 6:30 when I woke her for milk.
But lately she even wakes before my alarm. Last night was hard cos she stirred at 4:30 (think mosquitos) and then I had mozzies bugging me shortly thereafter and then had our one cat fighting with another making a big noise. Then my alarm went off, so pretty much was awake at 2am to feed and again at 4:30 for the day.
I only get to bed around 11pm cos of expressing, packing bags making lunch etc. And leave for work at 7am.

Work is going well. it's busy and the days fly by. But still finding my way and in training so need to be on top of everything. Think I'm doing okay for 3 weeks back.
Just wish there was a way to spend more time with the girls. We will probably (hopefully find a place) move closer to work but rental market is difficult so need to find a place first. Looking forward to being on our own again.

Havent introduced any solids yet. I'd like to wait till 5 months, even 6. But will see how it goes. Will have her weighed at 5 months and get some advice on it.

Anyway, must go dry hair, pack bags etc. Guess I must get used to this way of living as its not going to change when they go to big school!

Glad everyone is doing well.
Lets hope we all get to sleep through soon!

Hi Betts

Shoo - I was wondering where all the other mommies went.
Glad to still have someone on here :-)

I started Jaimey on the cerelac regular in the morning. She is now on the regular and banana and strawberry flavours - she loves that.

I cook my own veggies and mush it up for her. She has had the butternut, pumpkin, gem squash, sweet potatoe, baby marrow, pototae and carrots. Now she has 1 ice cube of each and I mix it up - sometimes she has 2 cubes - other days 3! So she will get like a mix veg.

I use the purity fruit - we have had apples, bananas, pears and peaches.

She is having 3 meals a day now. cerelac in the morning, fruit for lunch and veggie for dinner. With milk bottles inbetween.

I found with Jaimey that she did not like the food when I gave it to her the first time - but the next day i tried the same veg again and she liked it. so persevere.
also I was told to first give veggies so that they can get used to it as the fruit is way nicer and then they won't eat the veg after the fruit.

jaimey wakes up constantly at night too - and it is exhausting having to try cope at work the next day when you have been up like 4 - 5 times during the night.
I have given Jaimey some rescue drops in her last bottle some times just so that she could sleep a bit longer and then I find she wakes up for the first time at 2am and then I give her a bottle and she goes right back to sleep and wakes up again at 5am.
As much as I would like to give her the drops every night - im a bit reluctant. It is natural but just don't know if I can give it so often. I thought that the rescue drops is better than using panado or something like that to make her sleep.

Im glad that there is another mommy on here....

Hope you get some sleep soon.

Seems like its just me and you Monica...

Ive started Eli on solids and its not going too well. I tried the purity rice cereal twice and both times he has puked it all out. So thats a no. He refuses to take veg and only likes banana and apple. So thats all im giving him for now.

Are you using purity foods Monica or cooking?

Eli's sleep pattern is up and down, some days hes really good, others he just kills me with constant waking. Its exhausting, especially with work hey. Im bushed by the end of each day.

Hope the other mommies, getting touch soon, would love to hear how the baba's are doing.
