Good Morning Ladies.
I am 36 weeks Today and went to see the Gynie again...
All is looking good. Baba is weighing 2.745kg. The expected birth weight has been ajusted to about 3.6kg Doctor is very happy with baby's progress.

Baby Love,
I can't give any advise om how to ensure you have milk as I am a first time mommy myself, But I do hope you are able to breastfeed this time round.
I love the pics, especialy the one with your son in the middle of your bumps.

Kelz,
I had a lot of trouble with the UIF offices as well. I went myself, ended up having to drive back and forth 6 times due to extra info they required. What got to me was the fact that they couldn't just tell me the first time everything that was short or wrong. I need to go back in January with the last document stating that baby was born and alive and to sign for my first money. They never give your full salary, witch is rediculous.

Tracyo,
I LOVE the name you have chosen. It is really beautiful.
I don't want to go for a wax or something as my skin is super sensitive since I fell pregnant. I used veet once on my legs and ended up with burns for two weeks. It was really bad and I could barely move. So I don't know what I am going to do.
Jippee for going on leave Tomorrow!

Nadia,
Great to hear from you!
Sorry about the swollen... well everything.
I hope that your little angels have grown since last week, and that they have picked up some weight.

AFM,
I am working till Friday, then my inlaws will be ariving for Christmas and New Years. and then it is two weeks after that that our little pikkanien will be here.
Soooo excited to meet this little precious gift from God. I will take my weekly picture later today and come post it as soon as I can.

For those I might miss before Christmas:
Hope you all have a blessed Christmas filled with the Joy, Love and Laughter of family and friends, and that your New Year is a prosperous and successful one.

Thanks for the advice Tracyo - will double check that it is the breastfeeding plan. Are you doing it again this time around? Any other comments on the plan that you might have would be greatly appreciated - like was it difficult to follow? Was it successful? I am looking to follow it after the 6 week check up, once the milk supply is properly established...

With my LG i was also surprised when the razor was produced, luckily i had shaved the morning (with great difficulty, and with the aid of a mirror) of the birth so there wasnt much for her to do - thank goodness.

I love the names you have chosen!!! Emily is one of the names we had on our list as a second too :P

Kelz - which company did you use? There are other ladies on Moomie who have had success with various agencies, perhaps search for those links and see how they managed to resolve everything? Hope you can get everything sorted soon!!

Welcome back Nadia - curious to see that tummy of yours... carrying 4kgs around must be tough hey! All the best with the last two weeks - so exciting!!! You'll be the first of us giving birth hey  :woohoo:  I too am suffering from swollen feet and hands - cant wear my wedding ring anymore and only certain shoes - so i have taken to wearing slip in shoes to work... anything that ties around the ankle tends to cut off circulation. I regularly check my blood pressure though, just in case... But it seems to be heat related...

Just my Vitality Baby bag from Discovery... they have some awesome stuff in there... and the bag will definitely come in handy :woohoo:

Hi All
Glad to see everyone and babies are well.
Tracyo - When will your csec be? Mine is in exactly two weeks (2nd of January)

Feet and fingers and leggs are SO swollen, i walk like a penguin.

I will se doc tomorrow, last week babies only weight 2.1 and 2.2kg's at the scan, so small but its because there's no more space for them to grow!

I also shaved down there the night before my csec with my prev pregnancy. and the also took a razor - really not a fun thing.

Have a lovely festive season ladies

Hello mommies!!!

Can you believe we are so close to holding our little one's  I am very excited and very nervous (for c/section).... 2 weeks.... :woohoo: :woohoo:

Your pics are all looking so cute :) and everyone is just glowing....

Anthea - I did the weighless diet after I had my LG - just make sure they give you the correct program - they gave me the normal one and my milk dried up within a day or two - I spoke to them and it was sorted and milk was flowing again soon after that.

I did not do it often but I made the jungle juice recipe when my milk was slowing down and I found it worked wonders!! I know others have said it is not good but I think if it is in moderation it cannot be all bad.

My hospital bag is packed except for one or two things from the lists you guys have been posting - thanks so much for the detailed lists!!!

I finish work tomorrow (cannot wait :woohoo: :woohoo: ) - it has been a rough couple of months but all my projects are done (I am just finishing some documents). My last DR appt before our LG arrives is on Friday - I cannot wait to see our LG - everyone keeps telling me I look like baby is due any day now

I wanted to ask is anyone going for a wax (bikini or so) before the birth? last time the nurses took me by surprise with their razor blade and I dont want to do that again.....

I think we have settled on a name for our LG.... Emily Madison (I had Madison Emily but my hubby is more keen on the other way round and I like it :)

Have a fantastic day ladies and sorry for not responding to each one's posts - I do read them all and I am so glad to be sharing this time with you guys !!!!

Good Morning ladies!

WOW - Claiming UIF..what a mission and a half and I am seriously re-considering doing it at all :(
I paid a company R600 to handle the whole process for me, but they only gave me access to certain information after I had already paid them - I am complete dufus when it comes to this, so had no idea exactly what it entailed, but the amount of stuff the dol office requests is unreal - 6 months payslips, 2 x certified copies of ID (passport in my case) 2 x certified copies of marriage certificate, certified power of attorney, 3 months certified bank statements (in my name only - no joint accounts allowed - I do not have one of these) and the list goes on and on :headbang: all stuff which at this time of year is almost impossible to get in time and to submit in time.
I was then under the impression that UIF paid the "balance" of my salary because my work only pay me 33% - this is not the case, they also only pay me 38% of my salary  so basically either way u must suffer with a drop in money and the extra expense of a newborn baby.....What are taxes paid for?? :swear:

Is anyone else experiencing problems in this regard? My boss said that when she claimed UIF a few years ago, she didn't get any money at all until after she returned to work..how frustrating!! I am now feeling really quite blue with the whole situation - they say all will be ok and every mother just "gets by no matter what" but it is rather an inconvenience to worry about money on top of everything else....(sorry to offload on you ladies)
