Hey Tazzy9 - WOW!! Am so envious of your bump! And super jealous that you have a date scheduled! i can only hope and pray that my LG comes at 38weeks - around the 14th of Jan...

Yup - the linen savers are purely there in case you leak. Even with a C/S you still bleed "down there" afterwards and most hospitals insist on linen savers to save their linen...

The elixir is just to keep your energy levels up - so i can understand if they say its pure sugar (something we'll all need at some stage from lack of sleep )... i will be using Fenugreek for supply issues, if i have any...

@ Kelz - all the best with being at work! Its just as quiet here - just had a good two hour shopping spree in Brooklyn Mall...

@Snoekie - your are so lucky not to have picked up much!! You'll loose the excess overnight i am sure hey. Really hope your doc doesnt force you to have a c/section... Look up Hasie on this forum - she is based in PTA and will be able to give you sound advice on what is considered too small to give natural birth!

@Juwayraj - pray that you can last till at least after New Year... and that your test results come back all clear! Everyone will be at our place this year - last year we were very scattered and missed my mum's cooking so she'll be doing all the cooking this year

Our pics we'll only get in Jan / Feb - we are literally the last ones she is seeing for the year! Cant wait too see everyone else's pics too!

Wow tazzy9, Gorgeous bump and you're so skinny!!! I would say the linen savers are to help in case you leak during the night either from down there or your c/s cut? Not sure about C/S though... But if you had natural you could bleed a bit and if the pad fills up in your sleep you might mess on the bed.

With my first one i drank Formance as she didn't gain much weight in the beginning and being prem i didn't have much milk. This REALLY REALLY helped a lot and i plan on drinking again. While she was in NICU I drank a bit of Milk Stout every day which also helped increase my milk supply....

Hi Ladies

So great to hear all your news – cant believe its almost time for our little munchkins to arrive!
We had our maternity shoot this weekend, was lots of fun and really chilled. We went to Delta Park and took our doggies with so it’s the whole family
Attached is a pic of my 34 week bump and my little fatty @ 32 weeks - his nose looks big, my hubby had a good chuckle saying he must have my nose! Cant believe he is such a big boy, he always measures 2 weeks ahead of his age. So dont worry Kelz, he weighed 2.3kg's @ 32 weeks
Thanks for all the lists ladies – I haven’t packed any bags… still have 4 weeks left as I am having an elective C section on the 18th Jan now. Washed the rest of his clothes this weekend although I don’t know if he will fit into his newborn clothes now if he is so big!!??

@Cherikey on the list you sent is Schlehen Elixir - we were told at Antenatal classes not to drink this or jungle juice cause all it is is sugar and we should rather drink a preggy shake just sharing what I have heard.
Do u ladies know why we would need linen savers? My list has that on?

Im still at work for another 3 weeks THANK goodness its quiet!

Good to hear from you. I too will be working over the Christmas peroid. If you work in family business, It isn't as easy to just close down over the holidays.
But I won't be coming back after New years...
I too am a bit worried about the size of our little baba, I am afraid that the Gynie will force me to have a c-section, and I really want a NVD.

And you must enjoy the photo shoot! I will also be going for one either this weekend or just after Christmas. We found a lady that just moved here from Richard's Bay. So she is really cheap as she is trying to build a new client base here in Pretoria.

My back has been coping really well as well. Most of my pain is down below on my pelvis and I get quite a lot of kicks in the side.

As far as my weight goes. I haven't really picked up weight. In the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy I lost about 8kg's. I am now just over my starting weight. I am really grateful, and hope that this will make life a little bit easier after the birth. And I really am not trying to keep my weight down, I think it is just because I am eating healtier than before my pregnancy and my mom has always told me: "remember you are NOT eating for two".

I am sure that the doctor will be very hapy with your sugar levels. It might be difficult to behave over Christmas as far as the eating plan goes, so good luck with that!!!

AFM,
I don't have any complaints or pains. Just really tired and getting uncomfortable.
Baba is also very active and LOVES to kick me in the side, making me catch my breath. My sister-in-law found out that they are expecting a little girl. She is 16 weeks along this week.
I am really looking forward to Christmas, it really is my faverout time of year. But I am missing my familly a lot this year.
Like I mentioned we are also doing our photo shoot in the next two weeks, and really looking forward to that!
