Good Morning ladies

Wow - I have come into work today and it is even quieter than I expected it to be. Apart from the stress of my handover, I can see it is going to be a very looong boring 7 days if it is like this - there is literally nothing to do and I am wondering what the heck I am actually doing here :headbang: but anyway, I must ma sacrifice for the sake of having some more time at home...

I have not even attempted to begin packing my hospital bag (will probably only do it after Christmas)yet so thanks for the list ;) very helpful
I agree with Juwayraj Snoekie - you're looking good!

Doctor was so happy with my last visit that she doesn't want to see me again until she is back from leave at the beginning of Jan (supposed to be on a 2 week appointment now) which I'm ok with mostly because I didn't want to see the doctor who is covering for her whilst she is away (I have heard horror stories about her) and I was just not lus to see a stranger and have her poke around on my belly - really I'm more than comfortable with my doctor and trust her.

Cant wait to see those photo's Cherikey and Anthea!!
I can understand that you are anxious Juwayraj, but try not to stress too much! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way

Hubby and I finally decided and agreed on a name for this little guy (not sure if I have already told you all what it is?) but we have decided on Ruan. Still an Afrikaans name, but one which my parents will have no problem with and one which I really like. It took a long time and a couple of arguments to get there, but we did

Anyway, I may be popping in a bit more often over the next couple of weeks, if nothing else but out of sheer bordem :silly: hope everyone has a nice week...

 Morning Ladies

I was wondering where everyone is

Lovely bump Sma :) Glad you finally got the courage to post a pic...
Are you planning anything special for your son's birthday tomorrow?

cherikey I toltally know what you mean...from the top I don't look so huge but once I look in the mirror I'm shocked, lol. The worst angle is from the sides, I don't know how my back is coping as I don't have many backaches.
I've just checked out the list, it's great....not too much stuff, just what you need.

Anthea the room looks great, you've come very far with all the moving and packing and work and stuff, glad you are sorted.

Snoekie it soesn't look like you've picked up any weight other than your belly ofcos, lol. Looking good!

Kelz Glad you pop in so now and then with an update! I hope the next two weeks goes well for you at work and that it doesn't cause too much stress...

AFM

I have 3 days left at work before I go on leave. :woohoo: :woohoo: Got lots to do still but I'm sure I will manage. My next appointment is on Thursday and I'm a bit scared of what my sugar levels will be even though I eat properly and drink my meds regularly  I'm just afraid that if something is wrong then they will admit me over christmas and that wouldn't be a good thing especially for my kids. :( But I'm not gonna stress about it, I'm sure I'll be OK!!

I am almost sure that my little boy is doing the MEXICAN WAVE in my belly these day...I can't believe that he is still so active   I know it is a good thing but WOW...sometimes it's just soooo uncomfortable   Hubby and kids love it cos they can see the movements clearly. Kids are always trying to find out which part of the body is where.

Last week we had our staff function at a place called Bon Amis in Bloemendal and it was very nice. The only thing bad was the HEAT :headbang: :headbang: Everybody reckoned that I was not my bubbly self but I didn't even have the energy to speak. I managed to take a few picks though.

What are you ladies doing for Christmas? Luckily we were invited by my SIL for lunch which means that I don't have to cook!! :silly: :woohoo:

PS: the list is based on a natural birth where you'd normally only stay 2 nights in hospital...

Morning ladies...

@Anthea, great pics... i hope to get a family one this Christmas before we expand as well....

I did a little photoshoot the other day with hubby (he's a photographer) and just waiting for him to edit the pics...

Although my baby hospital bag is packed (and i thought complete) i got this newsletter from Babeeze today and realized there are one or two important items i'd completely forgot to pack that weren't on the hospitals list. So best i go unpack & repack the bag. This list i got today is pretty good actually and those who are still wondering what to pack should take a look:
www.babeeze.co.za/index.php?q=con%2c161%...ng_your_hospital_bag

I've been doing a lot of driving around lately, an hour here to visit family here and hour that way to visit family there... and so forth... I'm so tired of being in the car. Luckily it's a comfy car but still. I just want to stay home and nest!!!

We might pop to Dbn tomorrow and take my LG to the beach with her grandpa for the day and spend the night there, other than that i DO NOT want to go anywhere!!! The only problem is hubby gets very bored at home....

It's my moms birthday today & we went to their farm sunday and yesterday for a nice lunch & sleepover... She took some pics of me & i am horrified at how fat i look... My bump is huge and looks way different from the front than it does from the top :S

Anyways, have a good week everyone!

Hi all

2days till i go on annual leave!! Cant wait - am finished hey! Friday we see the doc for the last time this year, then hubby is treating me to have my hair and nails done for our maternity shoot on Saturday...

We've had a busy weekend... Morgan's room finally has some order to it! Just a few more wall decor items and we're set. Shopped for all the hospital bag items and those are almost finished packed! :woohoo: :woohoo: Feel so relieved that those two can be ticked off the never ending list!! Other than that we just chilled in the pool in between - the weightless feeling is AWESOME hey! Followed Cherikey's advise and just used my bikini with shorts... so much more comfortable! Thanks for the tip hun!

Sma beautiful bump pic!!! You look big hey, can only imagine how this heat must be affecting you too! Your little one is too adorable! RE: the medical aid - i tell you that they not providing a "service" anymore - its all a money making scheme! All the best hey - and hang in there, you will get your VBAC!!!

@Kelz - at 32 weeks our LG also weighed 2kgs and doc wasnt too concerned... Just makes for an easier baby to handle once they are here! The bigger the better hey :P

I also got prescribed something for hearburn - not the nexium or altlosec (doc wasnt too comfy with presrcibing that) but he did prescribe Zantac, and although very mild it works wonders!!! What utter relief not to have that constant feeling in the back of your throat

@snoekie - lovely pic! Glowing as always! Love the hat - have a similar one made by Gerne - my daughter and i have matching ones!

How is everyone else doing?

Attached are our weekly pic - and one our little family before the "expansion"! Alos pics of the room coming along!

Chat soon and have a good (short) week - for those of us still at work!
