HI Ladies

So nice to read all your news... Glad to hear Im not the only one battling to sleep and with heartburn!! Just been to Dis Chem to buy Gavison to keep @ work!
We have ordered the furniture and linen for our bedroom, very exciting. It should be delivered by the end of October then we can start putting the room together. We are going for a neutral theme with a hint of blue in the linen... not painting walls or doing wall paper or anything like that. Have brought a few clothes but have stopped myself from buying anymore till the baby shower. I have always slept on my back so struggling to sleep on my side, always wake up with lower back pain and then the only thing that makes it better is sleeping on my back... got 2 long preggy pillows which dont help. Going to try that preggy roll - thanks for the tip @Anthea! Will do anything to sleep!! Kicks are becoming stronger and stronger... I just find it such a miracle and thank God every night for this lil boy!! Every time I put hubbys hand on my tummy he stops kicking haha
@Nadia - I cant see ur bump pic :(
Hope you have a wonderful day and yay for tomorrow being Friday!!

Morning everyone

@Juwayraj - is that not the Cape Town we know and love: 4seasons in one day! I was born there and lived there until 1993...

I invested in the Preggy Roll with my LG and its my lifesaver hey when it comes to sleeping at night! Its the only thing that prevents me from having sleepless nights! I would honestly recommend one... And you can use after the birth to prop baba up!

Glad to hear your MS has passed!! You should try the Natura Magen drops for the nausea. I was so envious of you laying on your stomach hey! Not sure how you managed that for so long.

I am so jealous of everyone doing up the baby rooms!! We can only start ours once we are in our new place, luckily i have everything for the nursery. But i will have to do my daughter's room from scratch - decided to do it in shades of pink with the flavour of the month on the bedspread... Going to start with Minnie mouse first :-)

Welcome Chrissy!!! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy! Its always great when the group grows!

Decided to stay with the Avent bottles - it worked well for my LG. We managed to breast feed until 9months, with me returning to work after 4 months... and expressing twice a day in the boardrooms at work... And then we fed exclusively on the breast when i was around her... The little madam decided to wean herself at 9 months but i think it was because my milk suppy was slowly dwindling!

I hope to be able to breastfeed alot longer this time around!

@Nadia: awesome pic of your bump! I am so jealous hey - it looks like a proper preggy bump! And so gald to hear the little ones are doing so well... Incidentally my great grandfather was called Japie Van Zyl...

Chat soon ladies!

Mornings...

Cape Town weather is a bit messed up today...rain and sunshine in one...

@Chrissy: I hope the nauseous feeling will go away soon too...
I toss and turn almost whole night from side to side...I feel most comfortable when laying on my one side and resting my one leg on my husband or just putting a pillow between my legs for support. I'm so used to laying on my tummy that my husband woke me up in the week saying that I should lay properly cos I'm laying on my tummy :blush:

I have only bought some baby bottles (I've decided that I'll be using the Tommee Tippee bottles this time around) And then I've bought the cot. I have to start from scratch...I have nothing left of my two other kids.

Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone

Snoekie,
My son can't wait for he's sister to be born so that he can protect her, he is such an big brother already.

Cherikey,
I was induced at 28 weeks and my son was in the NICU for 7 days, in high care for 13 days and then 5 days in normal care in total it was almost a month before we could take him home but he is as healthy as an ox and no problems. This pregnancy is going very well so far, my BP has never been so good sins my last pregnancy and I only gained 3 kg so far compered to my last 35.6 kg gain this is good. What is ecotrin?

Juwayraj,
Thanx for the welcoming and good wishes. I hope the nausea will soon get better, my belly also bothers me at night what do you do to lay comfortable because my sides are acing in the morning. If everything goes well maybe they will share a B-day.

I already have everything that is important, cot, pram,dippers for 3 months, toiletries also for about 3-4 months and so on. This time I am making sure I have everything for the last time I had nothing ready and it cost us a lot to buy everything at once.

Have a goodnight everyone

Hi Everyone....

Welcome Chrissy: According to my las t scan, my due date is 3 January :) Maybe our little ones shares a birthday! Everything of the best wit your pregnancy.

Glad to hear all the other ladies are doing fine!

AFM:
I'm feeling a whole lot better these days...Ms have almost gone completely...I just feel nauseous ALL THE TIME :angry:
My bump is starting to get huge and I'm very uncomfortable at night, always feeling so hot. I'm very lucky not to have any swelling of the feet....and no aches and pains...as yet!
Baby kicks all the time and my kids enjoy it so much. My husbund always say that he can feel the baby kick against his back at night when I am asleep. He talks alot to the baby and also encourages the kids to talk too.

Have any of you ladies start shopping for the little one yet?

This is my 3rd child and with both my LG and LB I didnt get to breastfeed for very long, I had to go back to work and worked shifts which threw out the whole routine and they both stopped drinking at 3-4months...It was very upsetting to me cos I wanted them to feed them till 1year or so. I am hoping with my 8-4 job that I can do a better job of it this time around. I have started reading up on breastfeeding with the hope that it can help me with the process.

Toodles for now!!

@Chrissy...

My LG was also prem due to me getting pre-eclampsia and doc has me on ecotrin this time round to ensure a bigger healthier baby as she was in NICU for 12 days. How prem was your son? Did he spend any time in NICU? I was induced at 35 weeks... How has this pregnancy been?

@Snoekie...
There is a large contingent of moms who are pro cloth nappies, I bought one with Tori for swimming, beach etc but didn't get much use of it. I'm not against them, but i way prefer the ease of disposable nappies. The one day i used the cloth nappy & my LG made a poo in it... What a nightmare to clean & sterilize and all the rest. Personally as a mom working from home & with number 2 on the way i certainly don't have the time to deal with re-usable nappies...

@Nadia...
Nice bump... My little guy is also sitting right under my ribs & i kind of have to push him out of there before i get sore...
