:) hi ladies

to be honest in the beginning i felt a bit "not pregnant" because i never had any morning sickness...im in my 18th week now with the girls and now that i have read what some people have gone through thus far i consider myself lucky :)

quick question...bit embarrassed but i have to ask....anyones libido went sky rocket in the second trimester? dont know whats wrong with me but i cant stop wanting my husband lol and believe it or not he's getting a bit freaked out...just want to know if its normal.

doc said its fine to be intimate but im just worried because its like its on my mind 24/7 and in general im not that sexual at all...to be honest

anyhoo except for the above mentioned incident...pregnancy is going well next appointment 4 March...(use to see doc every 2 weeks now he is seeing me every 4...good sign i think)

will keep you guys updated ;)

Happy Monday Ladies!! Hope everyone is doing well and the buns in the oven are progressing nicely.

I have a very funny pregnancy side-effect if i can call it that: The big toes (not inbetween just the surface) on each of my feet and the heels are itchy :S huh!!?? I've asked good old Dr Google and it seems itchy skin is "normal".....So this is going to be one interesting week.

KerryA - whats to "bd". Pregnancy comes with too many acronyms LOL!

KerryA - Thats such a cool pic! And the linen looks stunning too! I'm going to start looking around this weekend with the hubby and making a list of "essentials" and hopefully sticking to it.

Niki - I wish I could go to gym...I went to Preggie Bellies with the first pregnancy and quite enjoyed it. But I've been advised against doing any excercise (even swimming!??) in order to increase the chances of taking this little one home. I can see myself struggling to lose the extra kilos im starting to pack on. I've never been one with a sweet tooth but lately im onto skittles, astros, anything sweet i wants it.

Ksanna - Welcome and congrats on the little girl! Seems like there are a lot of ladies on Team Pink on this couch!

Niki - i know its R650 ish for the bale pack of young world linnen... or i paid just over R600 for all the bits and bobs to make two full sets (including two matching fitted sheets which arent included in the bale pack). And if DH and i hadn't chosen the most expensive material in the shop we could likely have halved that too. :-)

Don't feel bad about your belly... i am huge already too... and i am 100% sure that Paige will enjoy it, though having been home for so long it may take her a little while to get used to it. :-)

Ksanna - WELCOME, always room for more people here :-)

THE BUMP - Scuze the PJ'S and the paint... was fingerpainting with little one and it kinds got out of hand...

The new bedding...

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have been so scarce, its been a hectic couple of weeks.

Ksanna, welcome to Moomie and congrats on your pregnancy, always space for one more :) Glad that you are feeling better

Kerry, we decided on a Doula , who we really like, have paid the deposit and secured her services for May. Please post some pics of the bedding you are making, I made the duvets for my daughters big girl bed and got such nice material and it was so much cheaper its really worth doing it yourself if you can :)

Monique congrats on your girls :)

Mamakawaka and excited and scared as Kerry says most of the stuff you dont need, we bought so much gimmicky stuff with Paige and hardly used it.. we wiser this time around :)

AFM: I am 26 weeks already , time is flying by. But I am feeling good, just getting a bit big , but trying to still do gym 2-3 times a week which does give me more energy if I can drag myself there. Paige has been at home with me and the Nanny ( I work flexible hours) for 2,5 years now and I had planned on keeping her home until next year when she goes to pre school, but I can see she is so bored, and if we are going to send her to school I wanted to do so before baby arrives and she feels pushed out the house. so she is starting with a small playgroup/ play school ( only 8 kids) from next week Monday, 3 mornings a week, its exciting, but also very stressful at the same time, I think she is going to enjoy it, but I am stressing :)

Keep well, chat soon
Niki

Hello Girls.

Do you still have a space for me on the waiting couch?

I am 30 years old and 22 weeks pregnent today with my first child. We are expecting a little girl. I suffered from bad pregnancy sickness in the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy but feel fine at this stage. Tummy is sadly not showing at all but I hope that will still come.

I am going to read through your posts now.

Have a lovely day.
