Hi ladies,

Just checking in on everyone. Izzels, you have to tell us how the hypnobirthing class was!!

All is quiet on this side, little miss is kicking up a storm and she is very active. I think she is as excited as we are. We have our 4D scan on the 7th and our next visit with the gynae on the 8th - so next week this time, if all goes well, we'll know what she looks like.

Sorry to barge in here ladies but see you are wondering how to get all those items on medical aid... if you are out of savings get the items NOW - it will come from an item called "External Medical Items"... If you wait till Jan it will come from savings...

Hi every one, I had my doctors appointment now and all is wonderful and perfect with both my little girls!!! They weigh over the 500g ( cant remember what exactly ) but they are together over a kilogram. The doc is super happy with their growth and again said he is amazed that they are both measuring what you would except a single baby to measure at this point ( twins are usually smaller ). We have our detailed scan on Thursday and I cant wait. The sonographer that we do this with projects the scan on to a large screen so its not just the small monitor and also we get a DVD of the whole scan

The only problem is that my blood pressure is high, this is not uncommon in twin pregnancy but we need to monitor it closely so I deed to go to the nurse over the next few days to have it checked.

Other wise every thing is great

Trudie, that does suck that you need share your baby shower but it looks like you are taking it good spirit. Will you still have a personal one as the below sounds like the one work hosts for you?

Had a lovely weekend - a wedding in the Eastern Cape. Weather was attrocious! I felt so fat and ugly, even though people are saying ' you looking so well', I don't believe them.
I've picked up 7kg already, hope it doesn't escalate now in the last 3 months too much.

What a lovely romantic moment you and your Dh had Izzels. It sounds like he is very involved, you are lucky to have that.

I just heard that I"m sharing my babyshower with 2 other girls at work. At first we were all going to have our own, but its getting too much and expensive for the rest of the team to have to organise and attend all 3 showers. I found out that nobody wanted to volunteer to organise them for the other 2 ladies, now I'm sharing my special moment. Oh well, I suppose it is better for everyone this way.

Summer finally arrives with a bang in Cape Town this weekend! It is HOT HOT HOT. I dont want to complain as I waited for the sinshine so long, but I feel as if I want to go aircon shopping now after 1 hot weekend. ay jai jai, what's December and January' heat is still waiting for me..

Congrats to all the first kickers! Also the daddys first feel. Its great!!

About the nappys: I also heard from 2 sources that some babies develop skin irritations from pampers. but on the other hand, I really like the pampers fit. Personally I think both are great, and yes, I'll try both. I heard through a friend that uses Clicks branded nappies during the day on her 6month old and pampers at night. She says the quality is almost exactly the same as to pampers and it about R70 cheaper per bag. That's something im going to try for sure later on. Every little saving adds up!!

Happynes: Great to hear all is well with little one! at my 20wk scan my little man was also lying is such a strange position, all cramped up in die corner. haha! So it took the poor lady forever to get all the tests done! Congrats on your friend's baba. I must say, when one see's the little babies in real life, it does give you butterflies of excitement that you will soon be holding your own.

AFM: Not much happening on this side. my hubby and I were sitting on the floor in our baby's room last night. trying to measure up everything and seeing if all wil fit. The room is finally empty. like completely empty. so we sat on the floor, next to each other and said it feels like one of those commercials on tv. Here we are, sitting in this empty room with big ideas and dreams of whats to come. So hubby got up and immediately got the camera and we took a short video clip to remember the moment. our lives are about to change so much.

I cant remember if I said it, but I enrolled in a hypnobirthing course. First class is tomorrow night! Looking forward to seeing what it entails. Will keep you updated
