Hello moomies.

Starryeyed, so nice that you had a babyshower :) i had one this weekend also. It was so nice. We got soooo many lovely things. Baby's bag is packed. Im struggeling with my own one more. But as you girls said, if something is needed someone can just bring it over.

Nels, we confirmed again last time that it is a girl. So we are very excited. I have a scan again friday.

I have been getting period like pains today that is quite annoying. Think it may be baby dropping. Although i dont know where to as she was already very low. But tje cramps spread into my inner legs so it must be ligament/muscle related.
She is moving a lot and actually relieves the pain when she moves a bit.

I am still sorting out and packing away all the things we received this weekend. But also finally feel more prepared. feeling quite ready for labour actually. Feel much more prepared mentally and physically than the first time. Actually looking forward to the process. Last time i was just excited and nervous, but now i know what to expect (more or less), and i know what i want out of the experience. Have more of an idea how i want to go about coping with the pain etc. So all together I think we are getting there in terms of prep. Wow, hasnt the time just flown by girls?

1st pregnancy - We had a natural birth at home with our midwife. It was a dream come true!

Starreyed@ great to hear that you are feeling better even though your amnio fluid is still low. Will keep praying you pass that 34 weeks. At least your nausea has decreased. Its great to hear your family is so supportive, you deserve and need it, you are so blessed. At least you can rest fully and not worry about alot and in return focus on a healthier you and baby. Get well and PLEASE keep us updated. Those precious scans, in such a time they make all the difference and calming to see that heart pumping nonstop. Nice that you had a baby shower, that adorable and awesome.
Newbiemom@ have you been able to tell the gender yet?
Second time moms how are the older siblings going? The "when are you popping" question is coming up more often, if he only knew that he will be fighting for attention soon he wouldnt ask.

Hi Ladies

I am sorry to hear some of you are having nausea and tummy problems. Pregnancy is definitely not for sissies. My nausea has still not gone away but it has gotten more manageable.... at least I have stopped getting sick... the last time was 6 weeks ago. Having 25 weeks of throwing up really sucked so I hope it does not start up again.

I have kind of started packing.. I need to get serious about it now... especially considering I may be having this baby soon  My mom came down last Thursday and she just flew out today... so we had my baby shower over the weekend. I was on a reclining couch... not quite bed rest but good enough I guess  Then on Sunday my sister in law and mom washed all the baby clothes, blankets and towels... and my hubby sorted and packed them into the cupboard. I am starting to feel more prepared... only a few more things to get.

I had another doctors check up today... my amniotic fluid is still low... my little prince is now just over 2kgs and still very happy in there. So we seem to be ok for another week. We are aiming for 34 weeks at the moment then hopefully we will be able to go longer... scary to think I could have a baby in 2 weeks time

I have now downloaded an app to help me keep track of baby's movements. Easy to use but it tells you to time 10 kicks and my little one finishes 10 kicks per minute sometimes... such a little busy body. Anyway the doctor said I should just record time and movement every hour and if I go 2 hours without feeling him... I must eat and if there is still no movement then I must go straight in.

23Aug2014 - First positive test of my first pregnancy (4weeks & 3 days) :)

Faffymom@ lol, as I type I am in bed due to the nausea(I think from the woolies chocolate cake I had this morning:|, I couldnt resist) and fatigue. I am uncomfortable now and think I am having prodromal labour. Lets hope it means baby will be here sooner.
Reading and commenting on this site is usually helpful and at times keeps me amused often lol.

The internet and hospital list can drive you insane. If you need something extra all you need is ask hubby to bring it. Or you can pack extra that you MIGHT need visible and easily accessible for dh to see and go to if needed.
Get 4 onesies, the ones that button in front and a 4 vests and 2-3 beanies for baby instead of all these fancy stuff for your hospital stay then have the go home fancy outfit(if you want) in the ziploc bag in the car. Pack basic toiletries like : organic coconut oil ( which is an all rounder: bum cream and body lotion too), 1 pack of wipes, gripe water(if you want) , a face cloth or cotton wool for wiping baby down there. You can have a hooded towel for wiping or go to pep and buy 1-2 toweling nappies and use that as a body towel as that saves space in the bag, the hospital might have their own towels but just in case. Then later that can be you burping towel at home.

Omw ladies Im in stitches. You brought bag my overpacked bags with my first. Hubby had to return home with most of the items.
Ronnelle@ thanks that is so sweet.
My suggestion. Get those summer gowns, I carried those massive ones too and it was too much to carry and wear. Lol.
Have the minimum.
Nappies - get a ziploc bag and put 10 disposables in there NOT the whole pack, most private hospitals give you a complimentary pack any way. Bring 1 pack of pads, NOT 2:D, those things finish space. Have a receiving blanket maybe 2 incase baba doodoos on it.
