Hi ladies.

StarryEyed, thinking of you so often. I read a book called bedrest a couple of months ago. What youre saying sounds so familiar. Maybe try and get the book to read, its quite funny, atleast something to keep you busy for a while.

Nels, I have also been cramping on and off. Try a magnesium supplement. The syrup one works best. I have Magneplex and it definitely helps. I take it twice a day and I can clearly feel when i have skipped. It helps your muscles relax. And midwife gives it to ladies who are at risk for going into prem labour.

Gloei that picture is so gorgeous. If i had a bag full of dark chocolate tonight i would finish it without taking time to breath.

I am so emotional! Flip out over absolutely nothing. Feel so huge, keep bumping into everything and hurting myself. Im full of bruises on my thighs. And I am just tired. Struggle to get comfortable at night and as soon as i am comfortable i need to pee. Get up atleast 4 times a night and always struggle to get to sleep again. Oh dear, such is pregnancy ♡ So excited.

Up until now I have just felt so grateful to be carrying this baby and to be healthy. I am finally reaching that wonderful third trimester feerling that gives you the courage to go through labour and birth because you just want the baby out. I will wait out my last 9 weeks in love and kindness, but I will admit, its not as easy as it was a month ago ;)

1st pregnancy - We had a natural birth at home with our midwife. It was a dream come true!

2nd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 12 weeks (blighted ovum)

3rd pregnancy - 2012 Miscarriage at 7 weeks

4th pregnancy - 2013 Twins Miscarriage at 6 weeks 4 days

3 Sept 2014 - Saw and heard our little heartbeat.

Hi ladies

I am coping... Thanks to amazing friends that are dropping off treats and visiting... They have been taking it in turns even though I insist that I am ok... There has not been a single day that I have not had a visit or delivery of flowers or chocolates. Very sweet! I am quite bored lying down all the time but we have made it two weeks further so I am hopeful. I have been super emotional! Made especially worse by the fact that I have a newborn nephew... I feel so happy for my sister and excited about being an aunt... But at the same time every time I see a picture of him I cry. So hard worrying about your own baby and seeing healthy babies. Sounds awful... I know! I have also been super nesty but I cannot do anything so I am very frustrated. My hubby has been cracking on with the nursery... The floors are next in the agenda. Hopefully that will get done in the nest few weeks.

@ Gloei... She is so cute! Look at that little pout! We are going for our 4d on Thursday. Really hope we get some good pictures.

@Faffymum... I completely agree... Chocolate is my friend and I love dark chocolate ;) my third trimester has seen the onset of my first cravings... Chocolate being one of them.

@Nels_n... I am also having bad back pain... As for the period pain... I haven't had anything like that, except when I was constipated... Could it be that?

Hope you ladies all have a lovely week

Hello ladies

how are you doing?
Starreyed@ how are you holding up?
Gloie@ thats an awesome study, just in time for valentine ;). Your baby looks adorable.
Faffy@ yep lets stock up, especially since there is so much of it for valentine.
I have been having lower back and abdomenal pain at night for a few days, period like pain. Not sure if its braxton hicks or not. But it lasts for a few minutes. Having both my sil having prem babies is making me go into panic mode a bit. This heat is back and causing me to feel drained ;(, I cant even relax without a fan on.
I cant believe I only have 6 weeks left to go maybe even less.

Hi Gloei :) your baby looks so cute! :woohoo:
Not sure if we are going to do a 4D scan..might just wait to see him in real life.

I am liking the chocolate studies :D Probably because it helps release happy hormones in your body. Best stock up on dark Lindor balls.

listening to my hypnobirthing meditation all day today because I am feeling a bit anxious today. It helps so much. Sometimes I have to listen to it three or four times in a row before I feel relaxed..but eventually it works.

Otherwise, I am feeling great. Had a good nights sleep last night. Lots of movement from my boytjie. :)

Hi Ladies!!

Everyone is very quiet.....hope you are all doing all right?

The red kidney bean chocolate cake turned out pretty good considering the main ingredient are Kidney beans??!!! I turned it into a Black forest cake with diabetic friendly black cherry jam and whipped coconut cream...
Do you all know that chocolate is said to be very good for pregnant ladies (in moderation off course)? Recent studies have shown that babies born from mothers who consumed chocolate regularly throughout pregnancy cried less and were generally more easy going? BUT only dark chocolate with low sugar content - Lindt quality choclate or similar....

Mmmm.....

Starryeyed - are you still coping with the bedrest? How are you and baby doing? Thinking of you especially. xx

Hi Ladies!

Faffymom - LOL about the poor men trying to do hypnosis voices....he heheh. Pretty funny.

Yes, I have also battled with anxiety pretty much all my life. I have really managed to get things better after about 8 years of on and off hypnosis therapy. I think we managed to work through most of my childhood issues and feel so good that I have been able to let so many things go. I guess that is why it hit my so hard when I lost my cool a couple of times now, freaking out like I used to many years back. I found that having a child surfaced A LOT of baggage from my past that I just shoved under the carpet. Sorry, don't want to get you negative or worried, your situation could be totally different from mine. On the other hand, having the most wonderful little girl has brought so much healing to my life as well, which I am so grateful for.

I agree about the perineal massage!!! It is totally strange...but it sounds important unfortunately.

Nels, hope you are doing okay??? This weather is insane up here in gauteng, don't want to know how humid it is down in KZN?? I seriously feel as if I am sitting in front of a bonfire the whole time!! Hope you manage to rest and lie down. How is the Insomnia? I am also to have more and more nights where I only get 4 hours of sleep and then I am absolutely exhausted the next day. I haven't done my pilates for a few days now...I have just been too tired.

The nesting instinct is pretty hectic!! I just want to organise and clean stuff the whole time - don't feel much like doing my dayjob in front of the computer.

I still need to bake that chocolate cake...mmmmm

We had our free 4D sonar today and it was awesome!!! She is head down - yeah!!! She has the cutest lips ever (just like my LG) it looks like Angelina Jolie lips!!

Starryeyed - Hope you are doing okay?? You must be so frustrated by now to lie on your back the whole time?? Please let us know how you and baby are doing!! Thinking of you. xx

Hope everyone else is doing well and managing the 3rd trimester discomforts...

Doing well thanks Nels_n. Also feeling super nesty! I convinced my hubby to sell a bunch of stuff that is cluttering up our house and I can't stand it. Now we can make space for a baby room :D yay!
Also spent the night cleaning...so tired though.
Sleeping is super uncomfy, especially since my baby thinks its fun to push his foot into my ribs and other organs at early hours of the morning.
I feel the need for ice cream and don't feel any need energy to exercise..but I will be doing a little hike on the weekend to make up for it.
I guess times are going to get tough for us all now in the last two/three months. Stay strong ladies!
