Great idea, Stella, two birds with one stone - getting dad involved/bonding with our baby and getting a little alone time = perfect!

great birthplan Dearhel. My dr has template birthplans so i'll complete mine tomorrow.
thanks Stella, my only problem is that a year ago my brother's daughter was born in the same hospital so all our communial friends and family know the procedure.. husband will have his work cut out for him
Great idea with the bath. I think i'll also delegate that to husband. My husband will take 2 weeks leave as soon as baby is born. so that should help quite a bit.

what you can also do to make hubby involved is to give him burping and bathing duties.
my hubby just loved bath times and i just left them alone for them to do some bonding. and then i also had a bit of time just for me to just sit back and relax a bit.
hubby always asked me to just put out the clothes that he should put on. to this day it is not a good answer for him if i just say take anything out of the drawer. so if i know hubby is going to dress him, i just put out a set of clothes.
i think G was about 6 old when i got the first chance to give him a bath, but i didn't mind at all, it was always very adorable to just listen to him speak to him during their bath time - i loved it

We never did a formal birth plan with G, but i will do it with this one and hubby will discuss it with the nurse when we get there.

yes, he will be able to cut the cord.

Ctelly, i said to everyone that the hospital only allows direct family to visit in hospital - to minimize the amount of people.
so during visiting hours it was only my mom and dad and FIL there. i will do that again.
and what i would also suggest is to only start having visitors after the first week. just take some time to first enjoy your baby.
G was 3 weeks old before i had 1 day just alone with him. and all the people was very exhausting for me.
