Wow, I'm behind the times! Just got the email feeds about water now (thanks for the tips, I also struggle drinking enough) and checked to find so much more happening!

Kiara, I highly recommend the Chiro, the cumulative effect over the weeks is significant. I've had chronic back pain since the beginning of last year and have steadily been improving (couldn't sit for 30 mins without pain, couldn't sleep without 4hr doses of ibuprofen - now can work a full day and overtime, and sleep with only a hot water bottle when needed). I was really worried about my back coping when we found out I was pregnant, but not than half way through and I'm not just coping but still improving! Get a good Chiro though, all are not equal.

Ctelly, I have also got a significant amount of discharge - I wear a panty liner day and night, or my underwear is soaked through :tmi: But I haven't really had itching/burning or bad odour, so I'm going with it being normal. Do get it checked out if you're concerned though - better to be safe than sorry if you do have an infection (which is also common).

Thanks for all the advice on stretch marks ladies - I don't have any yet, but am pretty terrified - my mom had LOTS, and they say genetics play a big role too

Meags, I live in PTA East. I'll look for a chiro in my area. The pain is unbearable and I've already been for a preggy massage and it helped for a day or so...

Happyface, I'm also doing a lot to make sure I avoid those marks. With my LG, I got none and I was using the Palmer's Belly Butter and Bio-oil. I've added coconut oil to that greasy mix...

CTelly I have lectures all week next week and I have no clue how I'm going to sit through them for an entire week...

Thanks Kiara.. I'm at work studying.. luckily my manager is very lenient.
So sorry that you still experience nausea and about the back ache.. Maybe the Chiro is a very good idea? also try the Physio or perhaps Pilatus stretch exercises that are safe during pregnancy. a preggy massage could also do wonders? I went for one in April. so lovely.

Oh I get it now Meags. :)

Ah Happy Face - you have my deepest sympathy with the stretch marks. I started getting some on my breasts, I was devastated and ever since I'm applying lotion like crazy. I don't use one product, I made a mix using 2 types of stretch mark cream (happy event and something else) mixed with coconut oil and Husband got some cream from the dermatologist for very dry skin (its baby safe). so I'm using this constantly.. so far no new marks. (phew!)

Kiara try see a chiropractor specialised in pregnancy. Where do you live?
I see a chiro weekly as experience terrible lower back/pelvic pain from early on (like from 8 weeks!!!)
Also helps to see the chiro to get the pelvis into the correct shape/positioning for birth (if you are having natural birth)

Hi ladies,

Happyface, no idea about that, sorry. Can't you maybe call your doc's office and ask what to do? I drink lots of cranberry juice which supposedly helps with keeping UTIs at bay...

CTelly, good luck with you upcoming exams.

I'm battling back pain. I'm only 23 weeks along, but man! My back hurts like mad. It doesn't really matter which way I sit or lie down... And I'm still throwing up... urgh!

It's not that I don't know when the next appointment should be...it's that I don't know who I am meant to go see! Here, you see a gynae until 6 months. Then for months 7,8,9 you are required to see the midwife at the hospital you are booked into (and then you don't see the gynae anymore!!)
But I'm not sure if its the beginning of the 7th month or end of the 7th month. lol!
It's also confusing as here they do not go by weeks. They go by months. And they give you a due date when you are 41 weeks!! So MY due date is 24 August (40 weeks) but according to all my french paper work, I am due 1 September (41 weeks!!)

I saw my gynae about 2 weeks ago...so I am meant to be seeing someone in 2 weeks as we have to see someone every 4 weeks. I am often behind with my visits and my gynae is always complaining. lol!
