Congrats Kamogelo!! Welcome to the mommy club , looking foward to hearing your experience.

DieSwartKat you mentioning exactly how im feeling, I love my daughter dont get me wrong and haven't had any bad thoughts however its just oh so overwhelming , having this person who completely depends on you for everything #sigh. Was thinking maybe being around my mother will help but still find myself in a ball of emotion at night the moment I hear her cry for a feed.

Ill take it one day at a time and if it persists I guess will have to consult my GP.Honestly just want some sort of normal back or a routine of some sort..

Hi,

Congrats Kamogelo!!!! well done! Baby is just gorgeous! How was the delivery, how are you feeling?

Astubchen, I'm feeling very good. I had 2 totally different experiences with the C-section deliveries, the first time my recovery was very painful in the first 2 weeks. I took painkillers every day and often had a burning sensation in my wound.

I was expecting this time to be worse (I had a sterilisation at the same time as the C-section) but it's actually been an easy recovery. I had one day in the beginning where I thought I was going to pass out from the pain, but that was the only really bad day. At the moment I'm having a lot of period pain, but otherwise I'm doing ok.

I also had baby blues the first time, starting around 3 weeks after my daughter was born. I felt so overwhelmed and was stressed to the breaking point (I was working from home at the same time, studying for an exam, had no domestic help...was just too much). I was never diagnosed with post natal depression, but I did wake up one morning thinking: "how am I going to get out of this?". I had a bad few weeks but was ok again around week 8. Being a first time mom is really very stressful, and it's probably the first time in your life that you're dealing with proper sleep deprivation. Hang in there and speak to your GP if you feel it getting worse, they can prescribe something if necessary.

Hei ladies.
All is well on my side aswell, enjoying time with my little princess. Its such a special experience.Hubby also hoing back to work and honestly not too sure how I feel about that, have gotten so used to having him around amd helping with the baby not that she is much trouble but we will see how that goes.

Ive been having post pregnancy blues I dont know I just seem soooo overly emotional at the moment about everything, I guess its part of the journey to reclaiming my body back.

DieSwartKat how is your csection, are you in any pain I seem to have this terrible bad back ache that I cant seem to get rid off dont know if thats normal.

Berry hang in there ,itll be all worth it at the end.Apparently thee dead is also a good labour inducer, try taking walks aswell as hard as it might be at the moment.

Hi Girls,
All good on my side, loving my little boy and life in general :) My hubby is going back to work tomorrow and it'll just be me and my little guy in the day. Really looking forward to it, been so busy with DH at home, found myself constantly making coffee and preparing meals. I just want to sit down with my boy and do as little as possible.

Berry, you're describing every symptom I had before my C-section. I only found out on the morning of my delivery that I had been having actual contractions (I thought they were Braxton hicks).

For the week before I had mild period pain, I was aware of it but it wasn't full strength so I didn't make much of it. The rib-pain was excruciating, and I also couldn't sit or lay down for more than an hour. I could stand, but not walk very far. Also, it felt like the baby was almost laying on top of my skin, I felt so huge and my skin was so stretched that I honestly couldn't have taken it much longer than the day of my C-section. I had some bad back ache, but in the middle of my back and not my lower back. I didn't think any of those things meant anything except late pregnancy discomfort, but maybe they were signs of impending labour. Hopefully it means the same for you! This will be your week, I predict we'll have some baby news before the Springboks lose again (haha...bad joke!).
