LADIES DUE SEPTEMBER 2015 :-)

Hi Ladies,

Had my dr's appointment this morning. Baby now weighs 3.7kgs. The Dr wants to induce and says by next week Friday she will weigh 4kgs. I asked her to give me till next week Friday as I am afraid inducing will lead to a c-section. So we are waiting. I just wish D-day would be soon.

My parents are going away this weekend. They will be 2hours away and at a place with terribly bad cellphone reception. I am actually upset about the whole thing cause I am relying on them to look after my Son whilst I am in hospital. And Murphy's law D-day will be at the most inconvenient time like this weekend Arggg. Everybody says just hold on till Sunday! Omg I am not a very happy pregnant fairy at the moment

Thanks DieSwartSkat for answerinhg.The reason im quite worried is cause she seems realy uncomfortable and the little bowel movement she finally did was just pebbles after crying and and its consistency is not soft at all.I ended up calling the hospital to find out what they were guving her and they said Nan now im not sure if she had regular bowel movement because of the nan or just cause she had been born.So im a bit confused here maybe I should just change the fomula but at the same time I don't want to change it without giving it a proper try she has been on the s26 original from Tuesday afternoon.

Short one from my side (almost feeding time!). Babies don't have to have a bowel movement every day, or even once every 2nd day. Medically there's no reason to stress, but I know you do! I had a super constipated baby with my daughter and drove myself nuts with it for months. The water & sugar didn't help us, but worth a shot. Later you can try a drop of prune juice in the water/formula, but she's too young now.

Try and massage her tummy. Also lie her flat on her back and make cycling motions with her legs. You can try and msaasge some Vaseline on her anus (on the outside), it often stimulates the bowel to get going.

For feeding babies who fall asleep during breast/bottle feeding: massage the point just below their ear (where the 2 jaws meet), they will involuntarily open and shut the jaw and start sucking again.

All good on my side, little man doing great & feeding like a champ!

Good Evening Ladies, sorry to butt in here but read Astubchen's post regarding bowel movement, my first had the same problem on the S26 - Paed recommended Treacle brown sugar ( the sugar you would use to make bran muffins) its extremely sticky and dark, if Im not mistaken I put a half a teaspoon in her formula and it worked like a charm - if half a teaspoon doesnt work then try a full teaspoon. You can also try only warm water without sugar at first if you prefer. Also around 30mls will be more than enough.

I would suggest half a teaspoon of sugar dissolved in 100mls of warm water. Then let her have some of that. She'll probably only have around 30mls and soon after the magic will happen. It can't do any harm X

Hei mommies hope all is well.

A bit of help here especially the second time moms, my little baby hasnt had a bowel movement since Tuesday and im so worried now, she is currently on the S26 original fomula.Anyone have a clue what to do? Ive tried massaging her and it just seems not to be working. Some people say a few mls of water usually does the trick but im just scared she is only 5days after all.
