Hi girls!

Well done TCS and Astubchen! TCS your little man is gorgeous!

I only posted briefly on Wednesday, sorry I haven't been online since then. Our little guy ended up in ICU for 2 days (first a breathing issue and then they thought they heard a slight heart murmur). We saw excellent specialists for both issues and all is fine.

We came home on Saturday, weighing 2.8kg and he's been an absolute angel since. I can't believe how much he sleeps! My 1st was a cat napper, this one sleeps the WHOLE day, 3 hour stretches at a time and feeds 3-hourly on the dot. He's breastfeeding like a champ, also different from my 1st who was anti-breast from day 1. Maybe my technique is different, finding everything so much easier the 2nd time around. My mindset is much more positive, I think.

He seems to be more awake and alert from 8pm onwards and niggles a bit between then and midnight. He doesn't cry though, just restless and won't settle to sleep. Initially had a bit of reflux but now just an occasional nasty wind but burps relatively okay-ish (need to work on my burping skills!). Nights are like every new mom's, a bit of up and down and feeling pretty exhausted by 7am. I slept really badly the last 4 weeks, so I don't feel like the sleep issue is affecting me as much as last time (or my husband, who's currently looking like a train wreck).

TCS, my boobs are also exploding! It was very sore on Friday/Saturday, but baby is drinking enough and feels like he's emptying my boobs more efficiently. I've gone from a B to a D-cup.....yikes! My pain after the C-section is pretty mild this time, i'm taking my pain meds and feel a bit of pain but controllable. I'm getting sick and have a dry cough, that's hurting me because every time I cough it feels like someone is kicking my wound. ouch!

We're managing our visitors pretty well, but I'm absolutely inundated with whatsapp and facebook messages that I can't get to. I've made a conscious decision not to carry my phone with me all day (diverts attention from my baby), I only check certain times of the day and there's always 30 messages to respond to!

thanx TCS84 I am gonna start massaging mine now. Lol wow cute little man, he sure can smile happy baby. Lol I can imagine his face when u sprayed him with milk lol
