LADIES DUE SEPTEMBER 2015 :-)

Hi Ladies

I wish i could have an exit strategy in place... just that every country has soooo much paperwork and rules and costs so much etc. its such an effort, i wud rather live here but now that i have a bean to worry about, it really scares me!!!

DieSwartKat, I know what you mean. I also have to travel extensively for work in the US, UK and North Africa, and I can honestly say that SA feels best for me. I just wish we had our issues in check.

Ladies, I don't know if I had mentioned it before, but Dischem has a nifty baby programme. You basically register for free, then you get emails on specials and discounts on certain baby products on certain days. The best news though is that you also get a nice baby bag full of baby goodies. I really like sample size baby products for the hospital bag. They don't take up space in the bag and it's no big deal if you forget them at the hospital. Just wanted to share in case you didn't know...

Tomorrow will be a very busy day. I have 3 meetings back to back across the whole Joburg...

yes, very scary. It just shows you how quickly things can get out of control.

It almost makes you want to put an "exit strategy" in place, in case we have to flee. We don't have foreign passports, so there's no easy way out for us. I know we shouldn't think like that, but if we have to protect our kids we will.

Sad thing is, we've been overseas to a number of places, and nowhere I've been (except New Zealand) has ever been as nice as home. It's a nice holiday and all, but I've never felt like I could trade home for another country. We really don't want to leave, I hope we won't be forced to. Not that we could afford to! But it makes you start thinking about things like getting a passport for your child, even if you have no travel plans in the near future.

Anyway, in other news, I have my appointment at the doctor at 4pm today, every excited!

How sad is all the xenophobia going on... innocent people hurt...

My gardener had is home burnt down and everything was in it. he is now on his way to ladysmith as he cannot live in Durban anymore. he is from Malawi and a realllllly nice man!
My heart goes out to these innocent people who just want to work and make a living and be safe...
