Glad to hear you and Cara doing well!! Please post some more pics!!!

@kimmy, here's hoping neither of us will have to go beyond 23 Oct!! My feet are so swollen since this heat wave! They don't even seem to go down anymore!

@clueless, did you get the curtains for baby's room??
We still have to hang curtain rods and curtains and some shelves and photo frames this weekend then our lg's room will be all done!! Started washing all her blankies and spoegdoeke today, just need to wash clothes this weekend..

Very exciting how the time is getting less and less now!!

@zandri has been real quiet, hope she and lb doing ok!!!

Hi there Mommies,

@Clueless, we are doing perfectly fine... Cara is the most sweetest little thing, all she does at the moment is eat, sleep and poop... her feeding sessions has gone up from about 10min per session to about 25min per session... she sleeps 2 and half hours on the dot then she wakes up. I downloaded the App Feed Baby, which helps a lot as I only do one breast at a time to ensure she gets to the hind milk. This app reminds you which breast you fed of last, and it gives you reminders at 2 and half hours, then 3 hours etc saying "2.5 hours since your last feed. It makes it really easy to plan your day, well it works for me as she is doing everything precisely on time (just like her dad, always on time and loves routines). It also gives you stats and averages etc... it has a lot of other functions that I will use later on.

@PP, I had a little change in discharge about a day or two before my plug came out. My Dr did tell me that she does not see that as a definite sign of labour on its way as she had numerous accounts of the plug coming out early in the pregnancy and babies still being born on their due date. BUT each pregnancy is different, so keep an eye! I went for the stress test after my plug came out and all was fine! Even though Cara came a week later. I think it was just her time as there was nothing left of the umbilical cord.

You NON-Gauteng Mommies must enjoy the weather, it is soooo hot in Gauteng... Pretoria is clocking a whopping 37 degrees today.

Good luck to all of you, I am constantly thinking of you all with the last couple of weeks still to go. I am not going to say it is around the corner or that time will fly, because I know that it feels like months still ahead. Just hang in there!

Juanita is crazy i tell you, i think again is am just over being pregnant so things like this frustrate me even more.
I think you and me are giving birth on the same date. I'll also be 38.5 on the 23rd. Since we moved from the 26th, i actually wanted the 16th silently aaaiii but it was going to be depended on the weight and growth since he was a week ahead the last time plus he hurts me now ;) . So i wait for monday.

Eek Kimmy that is super annoying and that at your last 2 weeks!!?! Actually very f'd up if you ask me!! And how stupid is that PA?? Whats the use of providing all the info if they don't even bother looking at it???

I will be going for weekly stress tests at hospital for last 2 weeks, and last week dr will feel if my cervix is ready for induction, then he will determine if date stays 23rd or moves on a week or two. Been drinking my raspberry leaves to help the cervix soften so holding thumbs date doesn't move forward! 38,5 weeks is my limit i think!! Haha

Morning mommies,

Am frustrated, my dr is away, was supposed to see him today, however the pa moved my appointment to the 1st(last week already) tried to phone me, didn't get hold of me instead of trying DH's number she just wrote no show on my file, now my dilemma is she is on leave, and the standby pa has no idea whats going on there and i tried phoning again to ask her should i have an emergency what do i do. The phone just rings  i was looking foward to seeing my little man today, but mostly to see where i stand in terms of birth, is it the 16th or we stick to our normal date. Aggg so annoyed

Zandri how are you today

Hi Ladies!

How is everyone? HVDB, how are you and little Cara doing?

Also not much to complain about on my side. I'm carrying quite small, very little pains, only occasional heartburn and so far not retaining much water. Just itching. But I do complain a lot to hubby, poor thing ;) I said to him last night, this is probably an easier pregnancy even than my first, its just that with my first pregnancy I could come home from work and have a lie-down on the bed if I was tired, or take a nap on Sunday afternoons. Now we have a toddler to run after, and so much in the house that needs to be done (hubby is putting in irrigation this weekend, for instance, so managing my LG is all up to me) that I don't get much rest. And between that and not sleeping, it makes me feel like a zombie.

One complaint, I have a thorn (or piece of one) in my right foot after our trip to the game reserve 2 months back, when a "sekelbos"thorn went right through my shoe and into my foot. It is still painful to walk on and still a tiny bit swollen. I had hoped the damn thing would resolve itself but it is in too deep (about halfway through, between the bottom and top of my foot) and I cant go for x-rays, being pregnant, so just have to grin and bear it, I guess. And my LG wants to be carried ALL THE TIME, so my foot doesn't get any rest... Anyway, done complaining for today, thanks for listening  Any advice appreciated ;)

PP how was your day's leave?

It looks like I might be getting the curtains for the baby's room today, I'm so excited! Then we might be able to start paining etc over the weekend...
