@Aden - You really do not have to worry about the size of your baby. I went in for my 28 week appointment but I was also 29 weeks along and my boy weighed 1.4kg. My gynie showed me a graph and he was in the middle of the stats. Oh and I'm not sure about you but I am not showing that much yet. My doctor asked me where I was hiding the baby lol. But I know what you mean about worrying. Wow I tend to get stressed out for no reason what soever. My husband is a great help thankfully. He is very relaxed and that helps to calm me down. I am going for 4D scan on Monday and will post some pics here. I will also be interesting to see how much weight he picked up in a week.

@LouiseMarie If I can't have a natural birth then I really want a gentle C-section. I already spoke to my gynecologist and she said it won't be a problem, but she is on leave until 20Nov so I am a bit worried about the locum Gyne. But I'm sure it can be sorted. My doctor was not worries that my baby is to big. She said she is happy with her growth. I was a bit worried when I posted yesterday... I thought she must be huge but I feel a bit better now that I see @ZandriT's boy is also about the same size for about the gestational age. Pregnancy makes you worry about weird things I guess.

Kimmy, trust me! It's better if baby comes early when they're ready... you don't gave time to stress or to work yourself up. Well, that's my opinion from my experience... I would've stressed to much going in 3 hours before for the scheduled birth. Everything happend within 40 min from the time I got to the labour ward, so there was literally no time to think or stress... I was just concentrating on my "4minutes apart" contractions...

@louise please don't scare me, you know i somehow feel this baby will come earlier than the scheduled c sec , i don't know why i feel that way, and after my appointment yesterday it made it worse.

My 1st was an emergency c-section at 4AM... But my gynae was soooooooo awesome, she still managed to make it a "gentle ceasarean" with baby on my breast within 30min after birth.

Please do yourself a favour and google "gentle c-section". Aparrently if you go onto YouTube they have a video under "Jentle c-section".

I wouldn't have my c-section any other way!!! Discuss it with your gynae... The hospital I'm going to (Femina) is accredited as a "Baby Friendly" hospital, so they naturally comply to a gentle c-section. But this time around I'll be requesting for them to lower the sheet when Larissa is being born - I want to see her come into the world!

I will then prepare myself for the first week in Nov. I was planning on working up until the 30th of October but it seems like an long shot now. Wow the time is flying . My doctor said that if I should go into labor that he will have to do an emergency c-sec which is a little more complicated than an scheduled one. But he seems very confident that everything will go very well. My boy measured 1.4 kg last Friday and the doctor was very pleased. He is a little big and everything adds up to him being born earlier I think.

Maby it is just wishful thinking because I cant wait to hold him

I'll be 38.5weeks at the day of my c-section. Dr says 39.5weeks is pushing it, lol! She only does her scheduled c-sections on a Thursday.

With my first however, she was also scheduled @ 39weeks but then decided at 37 weeks it was time to meet us... She was scheduled for 11 Nov, but then came on the 4th.

So come start of November I'll be prepared for anything... I must say - I prefer going into labour naturaly... It's less stressful and you have the reassurance that your baby is ready to be born. I also hope it can be the same for this little one...

I had the Medela Swing with my first - it was my best friend!!! You won't regret it... This time around I'll be using the Tommee Tippee electric breast pump - it's a generic of the Medela Swing at 1/3 of the price.
