I really appreciate the way you ladies are sharing advise and tips, I am 2nd time mommy but there is so much I don't know, and learning everyday.

Concept to share: Ladies so I learnt in antenatal classes, from week 20 depending on your babies growth, that's when all the leg cramps, hand cramps, etc start, eating more magnesium (banana's have best source), calcium (from about 24 weeks - that's when babies bone development moves faster) this will help you a lot.

The second thing I was told and I knew this even from my first pregnancy, from 24 weeks babies brain development takes over and the nurse advised if every mum to be to could eat at least one sardine (canned or fresh) a month, from 28 weeks onwards, it aids and improves babies brain development tremendously. Obviously if you can eat more oily fish and have it more often it is even more beneficial for baby. I did try this with my LG and will do it again for the new baby from 28 weeks, I don't like sardines but do it for baby, it did see my LG was born much more receptive and cognitive that most kids her age and she has remained that way.

Remember our multi-vitamins offer the minimal amounts needed, baby still needs a lot more from our diet.

@Happi - thank you, you know big sister loves being involved, how are your cramps feeling and where about are you feeling them? I had them on my legs, thighs to knees mostly and in my hands from my wrist, I was told to up my magnesium (banana's) it helped a little then I was told up magnesium and calcium, cause from 24 weeks baby bone development is much higher and they taking all we have, the increase in the calcium has stopped all the cramps so far, on way to third trimester their bones are taking full structure, so maybe try drinking a little more milk I have half a glass in the morning and at night before bed, banana during the day. hope it helps you a little.

@carmy - thank you yes we decided on going with my LG suggestion so "Zaina" it is, we also decided rather quickly very little opposition actually, lol. Wow Tyler, sounds awesome, that's a good choice if definitely has flare!!! I also love the link you share, any idea how much those nappy bags are going for? Hmmmm baby showers, hehehe my sister told me the other day that she will plan one for me and the baby and it will be in October so also for me around 34 weeks or so, I don't think 34 weeks is too early cause remember baby can come full term anytime after 36 weeks, and 36 weeks we maybe too uncomfortable and not tolerable of a lot of people around us. So go for it!! love your 3D pic of little Tyler looks so sweet and innocent.

@Zaza finally baby noon revealed herself, and its good that Big sis is excited. Beautiful name she gave her and luv the meaning as well. Sanele means we are content and grateful for the gift God has blessed us with.

@Nix, my heart missed a bit when I read your post, but at least everything is fine, just take it easy and rest more, we are almost at the finishing line.

Lovely scans ladies and bumps, its nice to see our pumkins are growing. not too long ago we were talking abt nausea and now its baby showers and birth plans, it really shows we are almost at the end of the race.

I had nasty cramps in class last really wanted to scream!!! and to think they are bound to get worse, gynae said I must eat foods high in potassium lik dates.

@Lashy enjoy your 4D scan and post pics, I am having mine on the 14th of sept, will be in my 3rd trimester.

Waking up for me is a real pain, and to think its bound to get worse 3rd trimester....

@ Zaza - That is adorable And Zaina is such a pretty name - Are you considering using it?

We had our 20week check-up yesterday and everything is perfect. Doc is happy with Bug's growth and all his measurements. He now weighs 340g and we got the most precious pics and videos.
Sigh, now the 4week wait till our next scan - LOL.

How is everyone doing with baby names? Hubby and I both love the name Carter, but my cousin who had her baby 2 months ago named him Carter - Damn!! We have now narrowed it down to Tyler and Aiden, but I think we are 90% agreed on Tyler I thought it would take a lot more argument and discussion but we actually both agreed pretty quickly!

When will everybody be having their baby showers? I am due 4th Jan, but I want to do the babyshower before the baby expo in November - Do you think that 34 weeks is too early?

Carmy - 20w2days, Gender: Boy, EDD - 4 Jan 2016, delivery - c section, so new EDD - 21st Dec 2015, Name for baby: Tyler or Aiden , last weigh in 340g @ 20 weeks.

@ nix: sorry about your scare, I am so happy everything is well, and Isabella is on track. My heart sat in my throat when I saw 'discharge' and 'spotting'. Please rest, and keep off your feet for a while... let yourself settle a bit perhaps? I'm just so relieved all is well with you.

@ Lashy: Cant wait for the 4D scan news! How exciting.. sorry about your flu though, that's terrible, especially since now we cant take much meds! (My usual Corenza C mixture has been stuck at the faaaar back of the cupboard this winter).

@ Mickymuismommy: 28 weeks!!! wow!! how awesome for you:). I'm at 21 weeks, and my little string-bean is kicking up a storm too! AS for nappy bags - I am as clueless as you are, lol.
