Good afternoon ladies

Cuma thank you for the belated wish, I can imagine how you feel missing your sister's wedding but rather be safe.

Natural birth is not that bad, trust me...I gave birth to my bot naturally in 2008 and I am so looking forward to doing it again. love your LO's nose, too cute, mine looks like shes got a big nose hahaha and gynae said we should teach her that people with lots of brain need more oxygen. :P

Simmy welcome to the 3rd trimester, I am 31 weeks today and really my LG is a karate baby the way she kicks me is tiring.

Bea Im glad your boys are doing well, we are keeping you in our prayers.

Jooste I love seeing you around.

Hi All, sorry I've been so quiet. At the moment I feel a little bit out of place as my pregnancy apps and newsletters are no longer applicable to me - and the newborn newsletters also don't apply to my situation! I've missed my entire third trimester! But all is good and I really can't complain. My boys are 19 days old and they are doing well in the NICU. My bigger baby had a set back last week - he had an infection and the paed was very worried, but luckily he responded well to the antibiotics and he is fine now. We've started with kangaroo care with the little one two days ago and we'll start kangaroo care with the bigger one today after his antibiotics drip comes out (you can't hold them if they still have needles/drips in them). They will probably weigh the same from tomorrow, so I guess there is no more "big one" and "little one"! But the smaller one is also shorter than his brother - so funny because they are identical twins, but I'm sure they will catch up some where along the line. I can't wait for them to get fat as they are so skinny you won't believe it. They are getting expressed breast milk which is fortified with fats and oils, so hopefully they will start to gain some weight real soon. They are currently weighing 1,2kg and 1,1kg.

Glad to read that everyone is doing well and wish you all the best xxx

This is a pic of the little guy.

Hi ladies
Everybody has been so quiet!
How are you all?

I'm 28 weeks today - 3rd trimester - woohoo!  I feel like I should have a party!

lethu, gontse & NnitaN - Thanks, I hope I will have an easy pregnancy, but I think things will start getting a bit more difficult now!

Bea - Thinking of you and the boys often - I hope all is going well? Let us know when you get a chance, we are waiting in suspense!

Gontse1 - I have never heard of somebody having to bring their own pain pump - as far as I know that is what you use in hospital to deliver your pain medication after c-section and it is supplied by the hospital - it is a piece of medical equipment after all. I also don't think there is a special perineal cloth? My hospital list just says to bring a few dark face cloths, but I could be wrong.

Pokkeltjie - My LO must also have strong legs, I have been seeing the kicks already for weeks, and when he moves I get a tummy wobble where I see it go down on 1 side and up on the other - I can't imagine how it will be looking by the time I am due! I hope your hip pain is better now.

MrsGov - Good luck for the exams and training this month, I hope everything goes well!

cuma - 4d pics are so cute! I am worried that you are so scared about a natural birth. I think you are only hearing the bad stories and if you go into it feeling scared, you will be very tense and have a bad experience. I think it's very important to maintain a positive attitude about the birth. Don't let people tell you their birth horror stories, just tell them you are not interested to hear it. That is actually very important. Do yourself a favour and watch a few videos of people having positive birth experiences. It sounds silly but it is very important!
Here is an example of a positive birth:

AFM, I am still doing rather well but I can feel that baby is almost in my ribs and then I think I will start to be much more uncomfortable!! I am sleeping a bit more than usual and not that comfortable in bed, but for the most part I am feeling good! Baby is kicking/squirming almost non stop and I love it!

5 June '16 - BFP!

2 Aug '16 - 1:17 500 chance of DS
It's a BOY!

Due 7 February 2017!!

Good day ladies

All went well with my 4D scan on saturday but LO was hiding his face didn't have a nice pic of him as i wanted.

Mrs Gove - good luck with your exams

Bea - how are you and the boys doing hope all is well with you guys

Debbie -you and husband are okay , don't worry about gaining weight you will lose it again

Lethuwam and Nnita - happy belated birthday am sure you ladies got spoiled so much. i so wish it was my b-day(27.08) again coz that's the last time i got spoiled , everything is for the baby now , nothing for me

Gontse 1 - am going natural coz i can not have selective C-section i so wish i was having it , am really scared to give birth natural , guess it's all those horrible stories people tell me about giving birth natural.

TanyaS - kinda give me a fright about giving birth at (37 weeks), my sister is getting married on the 24.12 and i too will be 37 weeks by then. but the wedding will be in umtata which is 11 hours drive from jozi. feel so bad for not going but do not want to risk travelling so far away from my gyn and hospital of birth.

My tummy looks like its getting bigger each and everyday, some days am lazy and same active. am very stressed a major client did not renew their contract with the company and we were told 80% of the staff will be affected. Retrenchment letters will be given to those who are retrenched next week.

My scan date has been changed to the 19.10.2016

wishing you ladies all the best for this week.

Morning Ladies,

How is everyone doing?

Thank you MrsGov - all went well with the scan. She was very shy and had her hands over & next to her face all the time! Sooo spiteful :silly:
She now weighs 750g and with a pair of strong thighs :) Gynae did mention that if baby weighs more than 1.2kg with my next scan which is in 4 weeks time, she wants me to do a glucose test as my first born weighed 3.8kg @ 37 weeks which is quite big for my small bodyframe....so we will see then if it is necessary to do the test.

Other than that I am feeling great except for the hip pain every night which is becoming really painful and uncomfortable...hardly slept last night. Gynae advised to maybe see a physio if it becomes really bothersome. Will give it a few more weeks and see how it goes.

Mrs Gove - good luck with all your exams!

To everyone else - have a fab Tuesday :)

Chlomid - 2 months
1st Born baby girl Micha
Born 24 November 2009

May 2016 - Fertomid
June 2016 - BFP

All the best for your scan today Pokkeltjie. Sorry for no personals. Been really busy and I have 4 exams to write this month and a week of training. So its been really hectic and I am now also struggling with hip pains. It really makes it so difficult to get up or to sleep.

The good news is, my boy is very active! Especially at night. Really cant believe how fast time is going.

I hope all you beautiful ladies are doing well!
